I had tried this restaurant some time ago and was impressed by the well-appointed atmosphere, the quality food, and the friendly, efficient service.
Returning after months, I didn't find everything I'd previously enjoyed, so much so that at the end of the lunch (with two of our guests, to whom I had to apologize for the poor impression I'd made), I was deeply disappointed.
The atmosphere remains the only strong point, even if the dining room where I dined is less comfortable than the main one.
The welcome immediately seemed elusive and hasty.
This opening was only the prelude to a lunch that didn't convince me: two out of three courses were disappointing.
The appetizer was served cold (when asked if "everything was okay," I pointed this out... the somewhat piqued response was that the appetizer should be served "at room temperature."
No, neither the cod nor the caponata should be served that way; both were too cold.
But the most disappointing dish we tried was the first course, spaghetti with seafood.
The small amount of spaghetti (maybe 30 grams or so), even though served on a nice ceramic plate, was far, far, far too "al dente," topped with a mix of seafood that had just been reheated and not even very fresh (perhaps they were just refrigerated).
The swordfish with breadcrumbs "cunzato" proved, according to the diners who tried it, to be quite good.
The only truly positive note was the dessert, which was good.
The service was completely approximate and unprepared (except for the courtesy of a young woman who served us in a change of (course) "disappeared" after I openly expressed my dissatisfaction with the appetizer to a senior waiter (and out of modesty, I didn't say anything about the spaghetti allo scoglio).
What a shame.
With all the competition from seafood restaurants in that quadrant, in Rome...

What a great find. This was so good that we ate there two nights on the run and took additional people on the second night. The food was exceptionally good and seemed very authentic. I had pasta with sardines and was tempted to have it again on the second night but chose the pasta à la Norma - which was equally good. Good range of wines. It was very full and busy - not surprising - and there was a great atmosphere.

A historic Sicilian restaurant where we return time and time again. Everything is always good. The service is a bit overdone, and the prices are skyrocketing... too bad.

An unforgettable evening in the company of 12 dear friends. The tasting menu was a true culinary journey; each dish, paired with excellent wines, was a masterpiece. And the waiter, Pippo? A true artist, his kindness and expertise made the experience even more special.
And they didn't ask for a deposit when booking, unlike a restaurant of the same name!

Although the food was good, the staff was inattentive. We waited 50 minutes for appetizers and a main course, and at that point the place was almost empty. During the long wait, a couple (whom we now know in their ins and outs!) arrived and sat at a table about 20 cm away from ours, thus offering zero privacy.
