We went there yesterday for lunch because my sister is celiac. It was an incredible discovery, even for us non-celiacs. We'll definitely be back. The food is high quality and the staff are friendly. I recommend it.

When I saw the selection in this store, I was blown away. It's the first store of its kind, with a huge selection of all kinds of gluten-free flour products, from flour to pasta, breads, cookies, ready-made meals like ravioli, frozen and freshly baked sweets, pizzas, and sandwiches. Huge applause and thanks to the store owners. 😘😘

For those who need to eat gluten-free, it's definitely a haven of happiness: there are both savory and sweet options, all delicious and of excellent quality. You can eat there, but you'll definitely want to buy several things to eat later, especially since it's rare to find shops like this that sell fresh gluten-free baked goods. If you're in the area and have celiac disease, it's definitely worth a visit.

08/12/2025: I wanted to hug the chef, but I was really too full. There were seven of us. The regular dishes were good, the truffle dishes were good, the snail dishes were good. There's an impressive variety of choices, and everything we ordered was good. The meat—wild boar, lamb, chicken wings—was all juicy, tender, and flavorful without being overly flavorful. The sauces were excellent, in the case of goose, truffle, snails, and a simple red wine. We finished with semifreddo and a special spoletina. The house red wine was strong but pleasant. The limoncello and grappa were special, especially the grappa, which was very smooth. I really appreciated it. It was my first time, but I really hope it won't be my last. I forgot to mention the very courteous, fast, and helpful service. Exceptional people. I want to go back! I hope I'll be in time.... Photo of the snail menu.
04/10/2025: A sensational, unique, and authentic experience! Everything was exceptionally good, from the appetizers to the coffee, from the first courses to the second courses, from the side dishes to the dessert! The location is neat and welcoming, the service is very friendly and attentive to every request. The final bill was excellent! We will definitely be back!

06/05/2026: If you're looking for an authentic culinary experience in the heart of Assisi, the Medioevo restaurant is a must-visit. The atmosphere is enchanting, but it's the food that truly makes the difference. We started with an appetizer of mixed bruschetta and warm crostini: the freshest ingredients, perfectly crispy bread, and flavors that evoke the finest Umbrian tradition. The real highlight, however, were the first courses: we ordered strangozzi with black truffle, which were simply amazing. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the truffle, generous and fragrant, made every bite a true pleasure. A special shout-out goes to the staff: friendly, courteous, and very attentive, they made you feel welcome from the first moment.
