18/05/2026: Typical Roman cuisine. Everything was delicious. Homemade pasta. Welcoming and very friendly staff. Definitely recommended.
15/05/2026: Tried for dinner on May 14, 2026.
Location: Restaurant located on one of the main streets in San Salvatore Monferrato, a few minutes' drive from Alessandria. The minimalist entrance is more reminiscent of a B&B than a restaurant (in this case, an "osteria"), and to enter, you must ring the doorbell. Reservations are required (in our case, we booked through The Fork app, receiving a 30% discount). The very spartan interior consists of a single room with limited seating, and on this occasion, we were the only guests, so it was a family-style dinner.
Menu: Exclusively "Roman" cuisine, with a few courses (from appetizers to dessert), but not suitable for vegetarians and/or vegans. In any case, at least for the dishes we chose (buffalo mozzarella with prosciutto, carbonara, Roman-style tripe with puntarelle and broccoli rabe, and a homemade dessert with a biscuit base, ricotta, and truly excellent sour cherry jam), everything was delicious and expertly executed.
Service: efficient and professional, not intrusive (though I repeat, since we were the only guests that evening, I can't give a definitive review).
Bill: in line with this type of venue.
