An Italian had recommended it to us. It is very similar to eating tapas (the ones from Almeria, not the scam for foreigners from the capitals). Good quality, you see the cook at work. It's for eating standing up

The place is small and you eat standing up. The food is excellent and very varied. The welcome is extremely warm. I recommend without hesitation

Stopped here on a tour, and what an amazing place. They live and breath the story "meet at the Sepa." One of my favorite house wines is here (Cabernet Savignon) and wish I could have brought a case home. The risotto was delicious and I will display my new pin with pride and tell the story of Sepa any chance I get! Grazie for a really cool spot!

A great hidden spot. Delicious wine, risotto, cicchetti. Loads of vegetarian options when I was there. Great service, highly recommend!

I really liked the layout of the place, plastic free, a lot of attention to the environment. You can only eat standing up, a good assortment of cicchetti, very well prepared and good. The pistachio tiramisu is excellent. Young helpful and friendly staff.

Wanted to try the food and the Cicchetti, as I’ve read that it was very nice spot. I liked a lot tortina di patate con gorgonzola and polpeta di tono was good. I’ve felt very bad after I’ve had the proseco though. Descent prices, kind personnel.

Ottimo per un pasto veloce. Locale piccolo con posti in piedi che propone un’ampia scelta di piatti anche tipici. Buono il risotto alla zucca. Sfiziosi i tortini. Anche piatti per vegetariani. Locale plastic free

Una cicchetteria ben nascosta ma che merita una visita. Cicchetti di ogni tipo e buon vino. C’è poco posto nelle ore di punta ma merita una visita! Perdonale gentile e cortese, servizi igienici puliti. Straconsigliato !

03/04/2024: Excellent maître d' - very funny too. We were told the next table was 45 minutes later and we were happy to accept whilst we wandered the island. Lovely taste of Italy, literally and metaphorically. We were two adults and a 12 year old. Excellent value.
31/03/2024: We absolutely loved our lunch at Al Gatto Nero last week. Fresh from a morning visit to Torcello on a sunny March day we were given a thoughtful choice of table, inside or out (had to be, out), with a friendly welcome from owner Massimino that set the tone for a great first visit. Next, complimentary glasses of Prosecco accompanied a run down of the day’s seafood. A stunning plate of sweet tellines and razor clams got things going, matched with a fine bottle of Lugana (thank you M, great advice), so good we had two. Next, as a primi,the risotto. This was, at one level, just a simple risotto. At another, just sublime. THE risotto. After that, wild turbot, king prawns, tira misu, coffee, “esse” Burano biscuits. Look, just go. It's wonderful. It's even “twinned in spirit” with the Seahorse in Dartmouth. Quite right too.

26/03/2024: Always great! From sandwiches to the selection of beers, “Al Distributore” is a guarantee in Mestre and the surrounding area! Absolutely worth trying and sticking with it!
