Scottadito Osteria Tagliavento In Bevagna

One word: sublime. You don't often find meat like this, and almost never at such a fair price. The tagliata seemed to melt in your mouth and had a flavor I hadn't remembered in years. The grilled potatoes were a real Madeleine, and the platter of cured meats and cheeses spoke of farmers and pork butchers who truly love what they do. They don't have an outdoor terrace like most places in the city; you eat inside under two large ceiling fans, so it's a bit warm in August, but it's absolutely worth it! The service was very competent and friendly. It's a shame we only discovered it at the end of our holiday; otherwise, we would have returned every night to try every offering on the menu. 😋

Restaurant recommended by a local person, we were on holiday and I must say that we ate very well, they also recommended an excellent wine, we will return.

The place is wonderful, a paradise for meat lovers, you eat like a god and you spend a fortune, the only thing is the waitress who does everything in the dining room, too serious, not very accommodating and not able to make you feel at ease inside the place, it's a real shame, the rest is wonderful

High quality meat and fair price

I had high expectations, being a meat lover and considering it's a themed restaurant, I don't know if I got the wrong dish or it was a little late. We arrived just before 9:30 pm. The fact is, the Florentine steak was decent for part of it, but the majority was much less so. The service was inattentive. I repeat, perhaps it was just an unlucky evening. The fact is, this is the first time I've had a bad meal in Umbria. The bill was a little high, despite the restaurant's very fair prices. I couldn't check the weight of the meat because it wasn't marked. All in all, so-so...

On the suggestion of a friend we try this place in Bevagna. Rustic and extremely warm and welcoming environment. You are already amazed by the prices on the menu, decidedly reasonable! The appetizer and meat are delicious. I will return soon to try other things!!

During a recent visit to Bevagna, I had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante Scottadito, a restaurant that stands out for the genuine simplicity of its cuisine and its excellent value for money. The meat is definitely the strong point of the menu: cooked to perfection, tender and tasty, it confirmed the care taken in choosing the raw materials from the first taste. The accompanying wine was also of good quality, well selected and suited to enhancing the flavors of the grill. The only small flaw: the tomato side dish was rather meager, both in quantity and presentation. Nothing serious, but compared to the generosity of the main dish, it was slightly out of place. A more than positive note for the prices, which I found cheap, especially considering the quality of the meat and the overall service.

Shame about the service, the food is fantastic, the prices are right, the only negative point is the service, over an hour and thirty minutes to be served after the appetizer and without any response to the request for information.

Nice environment, good food (apart from the desserts), I would recommend the waitress to smile a little more and be a little kinder which never hurts.

Cena in famiglia, scelto su passaparola. La fiorentina era particolarmente morbida, anche gli altri piatti sono stati ottimi. Ottimo anche il servizio, ti offrono molti consigli e spiegazioni. Se torno a Bevagna non faccio altri esperimenti, vengo qua sul sicuro.
