Schiacciamatta In Firenze

This was the first place my husband and I ate in Florence, and it turned out to be such an amazing find! The schiacciata was so good that we came back later that same evening after our cooking class for another one. I ordered the Schiacciafocco both times because I loved it so much. My husband ordered the Caprese. The staff were wonderful, including the friendly owner, who was still working hard and greeting customers warmly after a long day. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Florence and want a delicious, authentic meal!

Delicious schiacciata fiorentina. Despite the large crowd, the service was quick and friendly. The place is a bit cramped.

The schiacciata is good, nicely crunchy. Some varieties have a better balance of ingredients (see Inferno), others are a bit sparse (see Dante, which is very light on cured meat).

We were looking for a panini, and this place delivered! We both ordered a porchetta with cheese, and they were great! Highly recommend!

We tried a vegetarian Italian norma sandwich and we loved every bite of it! Don’t forget to try their infused chilli olive oil.

A wonderful experience if you are in search for a less touristy spot. The food immediately won me and my wife over. Fresh out the oven focaccia and fresh ingredients. Extra points seeing the Italian man chase off the brave pigeons that have also become admiring fans.

Best schiacciata we had in Florence! Also since its further away from the city center than others, the waiting times were minimal.
