Loved the pizza here so much choice and great quality

I ordered bruschetta and pasta there. Pasta Alio olio. I found it very, very tasty. In addition, the prices were not overpriced, even though it is a tourist hotspot. The service was very quick and friendly. I also received my food very quickly. It wasn't very busy and you could sit outside with a sea view. Would go there again.

Sometimes you think that if a restaurant is located a little away from the prominent boulevards or streets, that it is more of a cheap tourist dump where the food is shown to you in colorful pictures so that even the stupidest Tedesco can understand what pasta looks like. Not so here at Sapori di Mare: it's right next to the bus stop between the ticket shop and the souvenir shop, but that shouldn't stop you from visiting this extremely lovely restaurant, quite the opposite. The pasta is al dente to the point, the bruschettas are also delicious, the espresso is tasty everywhere in Italy, even on the car grill, the whole ambience is extremely lovingly and harmoniously furnished and the toilets are also very clean and well maintained (which yes unfortunately this is not the case everywhere). The prices are also cheap for Taormina. And all of this with really warm, loving service. If we are in Taormina again, we would be happy to visit you again. This family run restaurant was recommended by a friend. The staff are really friendly, the food was really good and the cocktails were lovely. Great evening and a lot less touristy than a lot of places in the old town. Definitely worth a visit.

One of the coziest spots in all of Taormina, staff is wonderful and so is the food! Gluten free options are available and their food is such high quality for the price. Would totally recommend! Drinks are great for a low price. Much love to the staff!

Sadly, this was our final night on this holiday in Taormina, and we decided to return here after our first visit on the first night of our holiday. We called-in here the previous day and made a table reservation, and I requested to have the same table as we had sat on the first night. All-in-all it had been a really good holiday: with extraordinary dining experiences, lovely wine, helpful people, and some great sightseeing too. In many ways we so enjoyed our first night’s experience here, that we just felt that we would say goodbye to Taormina, in same local family-style restaurant where it had began 7 nights previously. So, tonight we ordered a bottle of the same Grillo wine as we had enjoyed here on the first night. It was every bit as good as we remembered and was again much enjoyed. We also ordered a large bottle of natural mineral water. To start we both decided on the Prosciutto and Melon; the melon was fresh, ripe and juicy and the vey lean and soft ham was delicious, and it was a generous serving too. For mains my Partner chose Spaghetti Bolognaise: which she had not eaten, up to this point, on this holiday. ‘Spag-bol’ is possibly, behind pizza, the second most commonly eaten Italian dish eaten here in the UK. The plate did not disappoint. I chose the ‘Lasagne Forno’ (made with beef) which I had eaten only once-before on this holiday, like the first it was rich, hot and filling: a lovely last plate. We decided against desserts and we paid our bill, we thanked the waiting staff, and then we returned the short distance to our B&B, with satisfyingly full tummies.

Just outside the gate from Corso Umburto lies this very unassuming restaurant. Much less touristy with a mix of locals and tourists this restaurant is well worth the visit. The service was fast and friendly, but they certainly do not rush you. We had mixed bruschetta with the ones with eggplant simply outstanding. I was into comfort food and had the meatballs but my wife ordered the mixed fish appetizer which could easily feed 2. You name a type of shellfish plus other fish and it was there. She loved it. I saw many people with pizza's as well so the menu really runs the Gamut. We have more time here so probably will be back.
