Sapori di Mare In Taormina

Very good food and attentive staff

We visited over 20 different cafés and restaurants around the old town of Taormina before we stumbled upon Sapori di Mare — possibly the best place in the entire city. The food, service, and atmosphere are absolutely delightful. It’s the kind of place you want to return to again and again — and we definitely will. Highly recommended!

Great food, reasonable prices. The antipasta sapori di mare is a must, the mixed seafood appetizers. Pasta was also delicious, staff is very helpful and polite.

Sea food plate is a must to try!

It's not the first time I've been to this restaurant. Every time I've had a good time and so I continue to go there for a lunch or dinner in Taormina strictly based on fish. The last time for a lunch with my family. I took the "sapore di mare" appetizer which consists of a set of cooked-raw marinated fish samples that are brought on a perch as clearly shown in the photos I've attached. At the base of everything is a bed of lettuce and carrot salad that goes well with all the samples. Specifically, they serve octopus salad, shrimp in pink sauce, an oyster, a slice of smoked swordfish, a slice of smoked salmon, a marinated scampi, calamari rings made into a salad, clams and mussels burst. Having ordered 3 of these appetizers, we also asked for some small variations such as replacing the scampi with another oyster or with more octopus My son had the seafood salad of which I also took a photo. To follow, spaghetti with clams, grilled fish, fried calamari, swordfish rolls and an aubergine parmigiana, As for desserts, those in the photos I asked to accompany the dish with the house white wine and this was also a good decision. We finished with coffee. The owners at the end of the meal offered us lemon sorbet The service was fast and attentive. The waiter came to the table asking and checking that everything was to our liking. A sign of attention to the customer that not all restaurateurs do and I really appreciated it. The location inside is not very big but it is really nice and particular with balconies and clothes hanging out to dry that give a touch of originality. The room is a beautiful green and full of other colors. The atmosphere I breathed was very comfortable. The bill in line with what we took. Hospitality and courtesy. We were all happy Goodbye

Delicious food. Staff super friendly and enough gluten free options.

This place didnt quite meet the standards other places we’ve visited in sicily did. Service was friendly and setting cozy but food was not amazing. I ordered fried squid with oven potatoes and got very rubbery oversalted frozen squid rings with boiled potatoes. I would not eat here again.

Excellent food, welcoming staff and a pleasant environment. We enjoyed caponata, grilled calamari and tuna. We made a reservation with the Fork app.

¡Comí allí dos veces y me fui cada vez con los estómagos felices! Maravillosa caponata deliciosa, pizza, pasta y pescado. El servicio era agradable y servicial, un montón de lugareños, ambiente divertido.

Dans un cadre sympathique , malgré la presse de touristes agités, accueil correct. Choisi une grillade de pêche fraiche: espadon, calmar et poulpe. Cuisson légère, quelques verdures, parfait. J'y reviendrai lors d'un prochain passage.
