I went to this restaurant on June 11 for dinner. The atmosphere is very comfortable, but the service is almost nonexistent. I waited 10 minutes to place my order, then got up and went to the cashier to order. The quality of the braided veal is very high, but the side dishes served with them didn't match the quality of the mozzarella. The orecchiette with turnip tops, anchovies, and chili pepper didn't have much flavor, and the pasta was overcooked.

After shopping in the area, we sat outside for an aperitif and were immediately greeted by the very kind and smiling owner. We had two spritzes, a delicious and light potato toast (unlike the usual bread toast), as well as an excellent puccia, very rich and made with the freshest ingredients, and to finish, a cream-filled pasticciotto, which was nothing short of delicious. Believe me, for us it was a wonderful discovery on all fronts: the atmosphere, the food, and the courtesy of the staff, the girl and the boy were very sweet and affable. Congratulations 👏🏽 see you soon!!!

Il Bistro del Castello

12/10/2025: Visited for a corporate convention. The place is truly enchanting and evocative. The only drawback is the extremely small parking lot in the adjacent square.
22/08/2025: I chose Castello Visconteo as the venue for my wedding: a fairytale! My guests were amazed by the beauty of the place and the delicious, high-quality food. Furthermore, the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff for every eventuality truly impressed all our guests (and us, the bride and groom). We decided to stay overnight after the event with some of our guests, and the rooms were beautiful and clean. Thanks again to Camilla for her kindness and for making everything perfect!

30/06/2026: I've been a loyal customer for a few years now! The focaccias are impeccable, the staff is extremely helpful, polite, and courteous (not to mention incredibly sweet, I'm super loyal!). One of the fantastic things about this focacceria is the underlying principle: combining passion with inclusivity, with short LIS lessons projected on a screen so you can test yourself and order without speaking. The attention to detail and the aesthetics of the place is also fantastic! The perfect place for a quick lunch on a study day at the library (right across the street), or to take away and eat somewhere else. I'm happy to be able to support a local business, even more so if it's so inclusive. Of course, they're also members of too good to go! (Plus points) Highly recommended! P.S.: The only thing I'd recommend would be to try adding a few vegetarian/vegan recipes to broaden the customer base.
08/06/2026: Excellent artisanal focaccia prepared by a family of Genoese origins. Lots of flavors to try, and even the cakes are handmade and unmissable.
