San Lazzaro In Cortona

The Neapolitan pizza was very good and easy to digest. They were willing to make some adjustments to my wife's pizza, as she has an intolerance. The frittatina was also good, although I think it needed just a minute more cooking since it was a bit cold in the center, but this didn't affect the quality of the product. The service was very friendly and fast despite the restaurant being busy. The wine selection was also good (with a recommended pairing directly on the menu) and beer selection. The space was a bit cramped and noisy, but that's normal for a pizzeria, so it's fine. I recommend it to anyone in the Cortona/Camucia area who wants a good pizza at a reasonable price.

All in all, their pizza is worth trying... we had a few service hiccups with long waits, but the owner immediately apologized and offered a discount on our next dinner! It seemed like a great compromise for the inconvenience, considering that unexpected things can happen!

This place was delightful, the service was wonderful and the environment was so open and airy. The pizza was fabulous, so many options and you can add whatever you want to make it your own. Can’t wait to come back.
