The San Biagio Restaurant in Matera is a true gem. The elegant and welcoming atmosphere is enhanced by beautiful paintings themed around Matera, creating a unique atmosphere. The view of the Sassi from the outdoor area is simply breathtaking, perfect for an unforgettable dinner. The menu offers refined and delicious dishes. We started with exceptional appetizers: a fresh tuna and squid carpaccio, the typical and flavorful cruschi peppers, and artfully seared tuna on a delicate fava bean puree. For our first course, the risotto was a true delight: creamy, with saffron, shrimp, licorice, and a touch of caviar. Next, fish... the turbot with mashed potatoes was perfectly cooked, light, and flavorful. To round things off, we tried a mille-feuille with Chantilly cream and berries, a dessert that capped off this culinary experience perfectly. The service was incredibly fast, impeccable, and professional, always attentive and courteous. If you're looking for a place to eat well and enjoy a wonderful view of Matera, Ristorante San Biagio is the ideal choice.

Wonderful! A friend who lives in the region recommended it to us, and we loved it. The food was delicious, the wines were good, and the service was excellent. The waiter who served us was super friendly and attentive. And he knows Cádiz very well! Haha, highly recommended! ☺️

The food was amazing, eaten with an exquisite view of Matera. They offered rafined meals that really are worth the price. The atmosphere is great, hearing street musicians playing in the old city. Very nice personel as well. I would really recommend this restaurant.

A super nice restaurant with a beautiful view in a quiet spot in Matera. You could easily walk past it on the street, go down the stairs, and then you'd see it. Delicious food, gluten-free pasta, and excellent value. Tip: if possible, make a reservation in advance; it was so busy on a Monday that people were even waiting in line.

Restaurant with a nice view and some of the food is really good. Pasta dishes were great however tiramisu was frozen crunchy without taste one of the worst I ever had. Service was quite confused asking us what meals they already brought and there wasn't any particular order. Some people were having appetizer while others have already finished first plate

Had lunch there... everything was delicious, the view breathtaking. Everyone was so lovely and incredibly hospitable. Definitely worth it. Excellent value for money. Thank you so much.

Great traditional food and really friendly service

Exceptionally good, the best meat restaurant in Bernalda. Very friendly service, excellent kitchen staff, and a very friendly chef. Great food every time, exceptional value. I'll definitely be back. Timmy
