Saltimbocca San Lorenzo In Roma

The owner/manager was very nice and the quatro formaggi was the best I've had in Rome.

I wanted to eat saltimbocca, but there were no reviews about it, but I went there from far away because I heard other reviews were good. I ordered steak and saltimbocca salad. The salad was just like a japchae salad that I can't really rate the taste, and it was fresh. But the sirloin steak was tough, and the visual was a bit weird than I expected, and it was too salty, and the saltimbocca was just like the salty taste of ham that wasn't anything special. They were friendly and everything was good, but I don't know about the taste.

We went against the flow, the place was empty (I prefer it that way), the service was fast. The stuffed olives surprised me, dry and crispy fried, well seasoned filling, great starter. Now, the pasta was so good it was to die for, it was definitely the best carbonara I've ever had in my life. Cold drinks, anyway, a must-see in Rome, it could even be a tourist attraction 😂

We had a great meal and time celebrating my husband's birthday. The gal that served us was super friendly and helpful. The food was authentic Italian cuisine. So good. She even gave us a free birthday gift to celebrate. We loved it! Plus, they had vegan options for me!
