This is the third special occasion I've chosen to celebrate with Chef Sadler, and each time is better than the last. Attention to detail, discreet staff, and a wonderful culinary experience.

Party of 3, 2 Asian-American's and 1Black American. Reservation was for 8:15p, got there early, before 8pm. Was seated right away, short wait for the 3rd person. This is a fine dining place, but they were relaxed with "dress code". We went there after a speed track event, so wasn't dress that nice but they were understanding (didn't get kicked out). We didn't want to over order so we went with starters and main course. 2 of use order Foie Gras the other order the warm lobster salad. Since I was dealing with a slight cold, there wasn't any food sharing. For me the foie gras was really good. Only my 2nd time having it, was definitely better then the first time. Wasn't a big fan of the nuts, but didn't ruin it for me. Also order the Piccione in 3 cotture (pigeon 3 ways). Didn't taste like poultry I've eaten, but still pretty good. Others ordered Tagliolini fatti in cusa 40 turorli and . We did order dessert, but as im typing this, only remembered what I got, the gelato. If that was all the food we had would have been enough food. Before our starters arrived we were given 5 single bites of food. First 2 were AMAZING, didn't care for 3rd, last 2 solid. After dinner and dessert, we were pretty full, then came another tasting from the back of desserts, small single bites. We also had a few glasses of wine paired with our food. Overall the experience was amazing. Would definitely go back if in Milan.

For Taiwanese palates, it was too salty. We ordered a business lunch. The appetizer, Italian dumplings, was decent, but the steak and hamburger patties were overcooked. The Milanese stewed beef shank with risotto was undercooked and the seasoning wasn't particularly impressive—a Michelin one-star meal?
The other main course, a baked rice dish, was presented by pan-frying the risotto until crispy, but it was the same method as the beef shank risotto, just pan-fried. Honestly, it wasn't too expensive for the price, but the cooking method and seasoning were really disappointing for a Michelin-starred restaurant.
And the service—it was subpar for a Michelin-starred restaurant. The staff lacked enthusiasm and were simply indifferent.

An unforgettable birthday experience
My husband and I had the pleasure of having lunch at Sadler in Milan to celebrate my birthday, and it was truly a memorable experience. It was the first time I celebrated my birthday in another country, and this restaurant exceeded all our expectations.
The food was exceptional, beautifully presented, and full of refined flavors. The service made the experience even more special — the staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional, making us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our visit.
Sadler turned a special day into an unforgettable one, and we will cherish this memory. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience in Milan.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Sadler in Milan.
From the moment I arrived, everything felt special – the level of hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail was simply outstanding.
I want to especially highlight how considerate the team was regarding kosher-style dietary restrictions. They took it seriously and handled everything with genuine care, down to the smallest details, which made me feel completely comfortable.
A huge thank you to Pamela (the sommelier) and Simone — they made my night. I fully trusted them with the wine pairing, the dishes, and the desserts, and every recommendation was spot on.
Thanks to them, I ended up celebrating a birthday I will truly never forget.
Exceptional food, incredible service, and an unforgettable atmosphere.

Visited for dinner on May 12, 2004
I visited this restaurant during a trip to Milan, Italy.
*I went to Milan to see the Duomo and SADLER.
Afterwards, I toured Florence, Venice, and Rome.
Until then, I had only ever eaten French courses (starred).
This was my first time dining at a star-rated Italian restaurant.
I still remember how impressed I was; it was so delicious.
The food was visually stunning, like the French version of Italian.
After the meal, I had my photo taken with the owner and chef, Mr. Sadler, and met the Japanese woman who prepared the delicious dessert. It was a truly satisfying experience beyond the delicious food.

We chose the creative tasting menu and the food was outstanding. Unusual combinations of taste, sometimes even unusual ingredients that all combined beautifully.
The service however did not do justice to the food. Whilst the junior member of the serving staff was very attentive, his more senior colleague looked bored and disinterested - we couldn’t understand a word he said when he mumbled the presentation of two of the courses. The sommelier was equally unhelpful. We had to wait 25 minutes before receiving the wine menu and when we finally received it were shown how the iPad worked but given absolutely no assistance in selecting the wine.
The rhythm of receiving our courses also seemed very random sometimes waiting 20 minutes between courses.

I wanted to love my meal here but was disappointed. The service and atmosphere were excelente as you would expect for a Michelin star restaurant but we all found our food underwhelming. There was not one dish that stood out and the best part of the meal was the free aperitivos, which were delicious. Not sure if they were having an off night but we certainly left underwhelmed.

Welcoming refined cuisine, very professional staff, excellent wines naturally paired with these particular dishes. The only flaw was that we arrived an hour before the appointment to find parking. Otherwise everything was ok, recommended.
