Sabatini In Firenze

Well… a formal Italian restaurant “For Tourists”. This is the typical “I wanna do what Locals do” experience… The restaurant is visibly retro… not very well-kept for how formal it is. Visibly dated… but not in a good way. Let’s start with their strong point, they are always available… there is often space, and the service is impeccable (they are very attentive and kind). Now, let’s get to the dishes… We tried the cold cuts and 2 first courses, with the usual glass of wine. Let’s start with some cold cuts that could be those and the tray (neither infamy nor praise)… even if the price is not that of the tray. While the 2 first courses were long pasta with mushrooms, and the other with Lampredotto. Eh… and here’s the problem: The 2 first courses are IDENTICAL… the mushrooms have no flavor, there is only the hint, barely the smell. You can only taste the garlic and parsley… just like in the first course with Lampredotto, tasteless… just garlic and parsley. This is to say that you can’t make the same soup and then sauté it with poor quality condiments… or at least not from the fridge (and who knows how long ago, to be so tasteless). Okay, Average place…

The hotel receptionist recommended it to me, as they have certain agreements with several hotels in the city. It's a traditional Florentine restaurant. I found it expensive and not particularly special, though. A very average tiramisu for €12.

A place for tourists, which is not necessarily a bad thing if you are a non-Italian tourist and therefore cannot notice the ordinariness of the offer.

We went on Saturday evening (June 7, 2025, 20:45) with 2 people without a reservation and we were able to find a place. We ordered rib-eye steak and it was delicious. The atmosphere was also great.

I celebrated my birthday at Ristorante Sabatini and had an amazing experience. I ordered the flambé spaghetti and flambé fillet and both were delicious! Both chefs explained the technique and what they were using and we asked lots of questions. It was the best meal I had while in Italy! The wine was also perfect. It took a little longer than I expected, but it was well worth the wait! 🤩

This place was recommended by my hotel. It was awesome. I had the spaghetti flambé and it was very good. The ambience is great. Food tastes good and. The prices were reasonable.

El sitio es espectacular, merece la pena a nivel histórico. El ambiente muy bueno y me encanta las mesas tan bien vestidas y la vajilla (lástima las copas). La comida correcta, por ese precio espero más. Pasta bien y carne correcta pero llegó fría. Pan malo y mira que te cobran 4 € cada cubierto! Desgraciadamente el servicio muy bueno en algunos casos e irrespetuoso en otros… es lo que tiene ser un amante del vino, no solo gasto mucho en vino sino que me encanta curiosear las cartas por si encuentro algún tesoro y me gusta decorarle tiempo. Pero un camarero decidió informarme que estaba mirando la carta de “botellas” de vino y que las copas estaban en la carta del menú. Obviamente no pedimos botella. A pesar de eso la carta de vino es espectacular aunque de precios demasiado altos. Una pena.
