Sabatini In Firenze

The best way to escape tourist restaurants is this historic establishment with a refined atmosphere and excellent cuisine, without the clownishness of fridges full of steaks on display.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Sabatini Firenze, and it was made even more special thanks to our server, Emanuel. Emanuel was exceptional throughout the entire evening. He was incredibly accommodating and very knowledgeable when recommending dishes. His English was excellent, which made communication very easy and comfortable for us. The food itself was fantastic. The Bistecca alla Fiorentina was absolutely amazing, perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The pasta we ordered was also delicious and beautifully made, showcasing the authentic flavors of Florentine cuisine. The atmosphere of the restaurant is elegant and welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy a relaxed and memorable meal in Florence. A special thank you again to Emanuel for his outstanding service and hospitality. If you visit Sabatini Firenze, we highly recommend asking for him!

Truly just gorgeous inside and I loved the multiple levels of seating. It felt like a more formal dining option but with more of a smart dress code. We started with a cauliflower flan appetizer with pancetta and I could've eaten 2 of those alone. It was perfectly light, creamy, and paired well with the crisp and saltiness of the pancetta. We also had the Pappardelle al Cinghiale which had generous chunks of boar in the delicious sauce, and Ribillita Toscana that was a thick vegetable and bread soup and reminded me of Thanksgiving stuffing in the US (it was a hug in a bowl). We ended our meal with the most delicious and creamy dessert and I have no idea what it's called because we like to ask for a 'dolce a sorpresa' at every restaurant. The downside is I don't always figure out what we end up with, but on the upside it's always delicious and this was certainly the case. Please do make a reservation for this lovely restaurant! It was still very quiet at our early dinner time off 7pm but started filing quickly about 30 minutes afterward and was a low roar of excited diners when we left around 8:45.

Everything was great. Michelle greeted us at the door, and thanks to her explanation, we were very happy to go in. The waiter who served us was named Lucho; I think he was very good and I recommend him.

We had dinner there and it was amazing. This restaurant is a real treat if you want to try local cuisine. We were lucky enough to have a waiter who spoke Spanish, and the service was incredible; he even helped us remember the dishes and wines.

We made a reservation and visited. The staff were so friendly. The three of us ordered a 1.6kg T-bone steak, and it was a generous portion. The atmosphere was great, so we're leaving with fond memories of our last night in Florence.

The restaurant is good, the staff, especially Miuccio, is very good, welcoming and helpful.

I would rate it as fine. Not bad, not amazing. It's a nice restaurant with nice food but not amazing. The waiter probably needed more training. He forgot part of our order, then at the end was saying we needed to hurry up because they had a lot of reservations (mind you, we had reserved ourselves and had not taken long to eat.). We had said no to dessert and coffee and took maybe five minutes to finish our drinks, so we left feeling unwelcome and as though more important guests might take priority. The restaurant had a weird vibe, it was really quiet and everyone was awkwardly whispering. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, it just didn't wow us or give us anything that would inspire us to return.

The food was okay, but they forgot one of our orders and made us feel very unwelcome.
