Good hotel – restaurant service unfortunately weak The hotel itself is fine. The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating – we felt well taken care of there. We also enjoyed the food; the quality is truly recommendable. Excellent value for money. However, what disappointed us was the service in the restaurant. The waitstaff seemed unmotivated and inattentive, hardly a smile, and no sign of a warm welcome. This is a shame, as it noticeably impacts the overall experience of the stay. There is hope – the foundation is solid.

The hotel is located directly opposite the Merano Maia Bassa train station, making it very convenient for those arriving by train. The location is very quiet and offers a pleasant view. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Friendly staff, a good breakfast, and the restaurant is open until 10:00 PM.

Highly recommended! The food was incredibly delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff was exceptionally friendly – ​​you rarely experience that. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. Although we couldn't use the parking garage due to our low vehicle height, a perfect solution was immediately found: a parking space right in front of the restaurant. Top-notch service in every respect!

I've been staying at the Cavallino for many years. It has changed hands several times, all characterized by professionalism and customer service. The hotel is not in the city center; it's just off the highway and opposite the Maia Bassa station. The city center is a 15-minute walk away or by the frequent buses that pass near the hotel. Public transportation tickets (for all of South Tyrol) are included in the stay. Good restaurant. Paid covered parking is available, or alternatively, there are large, free, and secure public parking spaces. I'll be back again. Fabrizio Sala
