Rubaconte In Firenze

In my opinion, this is the right place for a Florence steak experience. The service is fast compared to most Italian restaurants. The only reason I deducted points from the atmosphere was because the restrooms were in poor condition.

We first went to this restaurant about 3-4 years ago, and we had meat there then too and really liked it, but this time, although the presentation was nice, the meat was very tough.

There were 4 of us, and Oleg served us first. We had pasta and a delicious Florentine steak.

Pici with cacio e pepe and black truffle were SPECTACULAR. For our appetizer, we had a Rubaconte platter. Truly excellent; I don't know what type of prosciutto was used, but it melted in your mouth. And then the pasta... I'm a lover of truffles and their flavors, and this pasta was phenomenal. I was worried that the cacio e pepe might overpower the truffle flavor, but instead it dominated. Truly excellent! If I have one criticism, which, in my opinion, isn't enough to take away a star, it's the oil in the pasta. Definitely too much, especially towards the end, where it all collects at the bottom. Otherwise, the place is warm and comfortable (we dined there in February), and the waiters are helpful and friendly. This is already our second time here, and I sincerely believe there will be a third.

Centrally located, this restaurant is convenient if you're exploring Florence and want to stop for a bite to eat without straying too far from the touristy areas. The extensive menu features Italian cuisine and pizzas, all carefully prepared and beautifully presented. The quality is very good, especially the main courses, and the portions are adequate. Service is friendly and reasonably quick despite the busy location. The atmosphere is pleasant, typical of the historic center. It's a reliable choice if you're looking for something solid in the center without too many surprises.

Good taste, good food historical atmosphere. Nipozzamo wine was unbelievable again
