Rossini Ristorante In Roma

Meh… Not convinced by the food. The menu doesn't match the one on the website. We ordered a dish recommended by the chef (the most expensive one): the pasta with lobster. It wasn't anything special… The result: pasta in a butter sauce with half a lobster. Disappointing, but edible nonetheless. The pizza was good, but no better than what you'd get at other restaurants. The bill for water and the two edible dishes came to 50 euros. In short, find another restaurant!

This is a real hidden gem near Piazza Barberini. We each had different pasta dishes with seafood. I had shrimp snd asparagus and my husband had the clams. We also enjoyed a wonderful Cesar Salad with chicken. Both meals were excellent. We were so impressed we came back a second night and tried their pizza. We were not disappointed. We enjoyed listening to Phil Collin’s while we dined, perfect music to set the tone for a lovely evening in Rome. One perk to Rossini is the 5 minute evening stroll you’ll do to the Spanish Steps to work off dinner.

Excellent food and even better service from Leonel. Congratulations! We were going to another restaurant nearby, but Alina, the girl outside, very kindly and persuasively convinced us to go in. She was very nice too. 🤗

Flavorful and interesting food. Orange salmon was very tasty.

Great neighborhood spot. We had a caprese, gnocchi con pesto, pizza diavalo, and a slice of chocolate cake. All were superb. Service friendly and smooth. Perfect first night in Rome!

May 3, 2026, dinner for two. The restaurant is tucked away on a side street. The elegant entrance leads to an equally well-maintained interior, perfectly insulated from the outside world, with a few points of special interest that may be difficult to spot, even for the staff (the only notable one being the excessive air conditioning that was noticeable toward the late evening, but I admit we arrived wearing light clothing). The staff seems to operate with defined roles and silent movements, always very present and helpful. The waits were never long, and the interactions were always pleasant. The restrooms are excellent, perhaps a more elegant solution could be found for the toilet paper supply, which is currently on display. Moving on to the food, both the fish and meat were excellently cooked, and both enjoyed the wines. The price reflects the quality, which is significantly higher than at other restaurants. The tiramisu for dessert was truly not bad. Where there's real room for improvement: I feel like I can forgive the glass of red wine we were charged at €14, even though it was €8 on the menu, since they offered us a limoncello each. But the limoncello was for another, perhaps more serious, problem. The food arrived already cold. And with the air conditioning, it was...very cold. We ate it, didn't complain, it was still very good, but I don't know if the problem was due to the chef's management or that of the wait staff. Either way, it needs improvement. Bottom line. Would I go back? If I could afford to spend that much several times in the same week, absolutely, as long as the problem that occurred proved to be an exception. Edit: On our last day in Rome, we decided to return to the ristorante because of the wonderful service we received. The food we ordered was delicious, and the dessert Pablito offered us was absolutely de-li-cious. Thank you so much, Rossini staff, we won't forget you!!! ♥️♥️ Thank you, Barbara, for your friendliness, kindness, and cheerfulness; you put us in a great mood!! We had chosen to go somewhere else, but we stayed thanks to you. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, and Alina and Pablo took excellent care of us! The place is spotless; I was even able to charge my phone without any problem.
