Rooster Cafe Firenze In Firenze

Me and my partner visited the Rooster Cafe whilst in Florence on holiday, (once finally working out how to open the door lol). It was a small and busy restaurant (which tells me it’s good), and the atmosphere was great. The owner welcomed us in himself and was very friendly and polite. He took our order and we waited. Unfortunately there was a slight delay on our food due to a mix up with the order in which the owner was very apologetic and instantly took full responsibility, not that we had an issue with the wait, but he was quick to rectify so hats off to him. Having owned a few restaurants myself in the past I know that sometimes things don’t always go to plan, so we were patient. The food arrived and wow, it was outstanding. We both had Eggs Benedict and each had a different smoothie, fresh fruit on show, squeezed out in front of you and blended into the smoothie… Awesome. The owner came and sat with me when my partner went to the toilet and he expressed his frustration about the mix up with our order and told us we could have our visit for free as he had fallen below his high standards. He would not accept any payment when we tried to pay before leaving. What an absolute gentleman he was. An incredible business with a great menu, great food and great service. We will definitely return when we revisit Florence in the future. Oh and we even got a little dessert as an apology from the owner which was really tasty. If you’re the owner of the rooster cafe and you are reading this, thank you very much. You’re a great person and have an incredible business. Wish you all the success in the future and we will certainly be returning!!

Great wait staff, very bad chef. Rooster Cafe never disappoints — the brunch is always incredible — fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. But what truly stood out during my recent visit was not just the food, but the way Bobby, a member of the team, handled a very difficult situation with remarkable grace and professionalism. There was an unfortunate incident where the chef, seemingly driven by ego and the internal conflict with team members, refused to serve dishes to customers simply because certain requests hadn’t been “pre-approved.” It could have ruined the entire experience — but Bobby stepped in, calm and collected, and managed the situation with true leadership and care for the guests. Bobby deserves huge credit for keeping the environment welcoming and respectful despite the challenge. I wish him all the best — and when he opens his own restaurant someday, I’ll be first in line. Amazing food and some of the best customer service I've received in my life. The waiter (maybe owner too?) asked if I could move seats to accommodate a larger group. As I was on my own I was more than happy to, and in a gesture of kindness I was given a free dessert. Unfortunately it was my last day in Florence or I would have been back to show support as it's not often you across such warm and welcoming people. I hope this business continues to thrive.

Rooster Cafe is a must if you’re in Florence. By far the best breakfast we have had in the 5 days we were here. Fantastic American brunch. Will return.

The "grandma's" pancakes are delicious, and the avocado toast was very balanced and delicious. Great restaurant with very welcoming and friendly staff.

Such a delicious breakfast spot that we came back 2 days in a row! The staff is so friendly and gave us a homemade pastry to try for free. Highly highly recommend!!

Lovely little spot, the best brunch and service is 2nd to none! I went in there with my partner and our 7 month old baby, they were very welcoming to us and the baby! Fantastic freshly pressed orange juice! Great coffee! The avo on toast was incredible and the guy who ran the floor - such great energy about him! What a great start to our stay in Florence, a must visit!

Amazing breakfast here. Came twice. Friendly staff, great food, great choices. Best breakfast we had. Didn’t have to wait to be seated. Oh and free refills on nice hot mugs of decent coffee. Loved it.

Después de una mañana explorando las Galerías Uffizi, nos dirigimos a Rooster Café Firenze para el brunch. Es fácil de encontrar y tiene un ambiente divertido de desayuno americano, pero ten en cuenta que no aceptan reservas, y puede abarrotarse. Cuando llegamos, un grupo ya estaba esperando afuera. Intentamos entrar y entrar en una lista de espera, pero no había un sistema claro. Se sentía un poco caótico y estresante, y desafortunadamente, unas pocas personas se adelantaron a nosotros mientras esperábamos hablar con alguien. Afortunadamente, una vez que estuvimos en la lista, nos sentamos rápidamente en el bar, que en realidad resultó ser un mejor lugar para nuestro grupo. La comida era sólida: Pedí una tortilla con patatas, y llegó al punto. Incluso tenían ketchup, que fue una buena sorpresa en Italia! Mientras que las opciones sin gluten eran limitadas, pude disfrutar de una comida segura y sencilla.
