Excellent American-style breakfast in the center of Florence. Excellent pancakes and French toast!!! The waiter was very friendly and helpful!!

If you’re looking for something a bit outside of the traditional Italian breakfast, this is the place! The staff were some of the nicest people I encountered in Italy, and were so apologetic because they couldn’t take my order right away (as they were very busy). Totally understandable! And the portions are huge! I’m so used to smaller portions for these types of places and I was NOT expecting my chicken and waffles to be such good options! And was so yummy! I wish there was a place like this where I lived! I’ll definitely check this place out again should I return to Florence :)

Phenomenal! Especially for someone who is used to food from the American continent.

Me and my partner visited the Rooster Cafe whilst in Florence on holiday, (once finally working out how to open the door lol). It was a small and busy restaurant (which tells me it’s good), and the atmosphere was great. The owner welcomed us in himself and was very friendly and polite. He took our order and we waited. Unfortunately there was a slight delay on our food due to a mix up with the order in which the owner was very apologetic and instantly took full responsibility, not that we had an issue with the wait, but he was quick to rectify so hats off to him. Having owned a few restaurants myself in the past I know that sometimes things don’t always go to plan, so we were patient. The food arrived and wow, it was outstanding. We both had Eggs Benedict and each had a different smoothie, fresh fruit on show, squeezed out in front of you and blended into the smoothie… Awesome. The owner came and sat with me when my partner went to the toilet and he expressed his frustration about the mix up with our order and told us we could have our visit for free as he had fallen below his high standards. He would not accept any payment when we tried to pay before leaving. What an absolute gentleman he was. An incredible business with a great menu, great food and great service. We will definitely return when we revisit Florence in the future. Oh and we even got a little dessert as an apology from the owner which was really tasty. If you’re the owner of the rooster cafe and you are reading this, thank you very much. You’re a great person and have an incredible business. Wish you all the success in the future and we will certainly be returning!!

Great wait staff, very bad chef. Rooster Cafe never disappoints — the brunch is always incredible — fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. But what truly stood out during my recent visit was not just the food, but the way Bobby, a member of the team, handled a very difficult situation with remarkable grace and professionalism. There was an unfortunate incident where the chef, seemingly driven by ego and the internal conflict with team members, refused to serve dishes to customers simply because certain requests hadn’t been “pre-approved.” It could have ruined the entire experience — but Bobby stepped in, calm and collected, and managed the situation with true leadership and care for the guests. Bobby deserves huge credit for keeping the environment welcoming and respectful despite the challenge. I wish him all the best — and when he opens his own restaurant someday, I’ll be first in line. Amazing food and some of the best customer service I've received in my life. The waiter (maybe owner too?) asked if I could move seats to accommodate a larger group. As I was on my own I was more than happy to, and in a gesture of kindness I was given a free dessert. Unfortunately it was my last day in Florence or I would have been back to show support as it's not often you across such warm and welcoming people. I hope this business continues to thrive.

Amazing breakfast here. Came twice. Friendly staff, great food, great choices. Best breakfast we had. Didn’t have to wait to be seated. Oh and free refills on nice hot mugs of decent coffee. Loved it.

Primera vez a Florencia. Un caos absoluto. Lleno de miles de visitantes del grupo. Aún más comerciantes del mercado abarrotan calles estrechas que venden los mismos artículos de cuero. Se encontró con Rooster Café mientras escapaba del caos. Dios mío. Un ambiente relajado fantástico. Cócteles artesanales. Personal brillante. 100% el mejor bar de Firenze.
