Ristotrattoria M'inchìa In Messina

My father and I stopped here for lunch while cruising through Messina. This was a perfect rustic Sicilian and Italian lunch spot full of locals. The place is small and intimate and has all of the benefits of an owner operator setup. The staff are super attentive and thoughtful when it comes to the experience. Where this place really takes off is in the pasta. Great quality pasta with strong well executed flavors was great. It wasn’t a big menu but they really nailed doing a few things with exceptionally well with fresh ingredients. All food does better with the freshest of ingredients but it really is the calling card of great Italian food and this certainly was that. If I am back in Messina I will be back. Also the pistachio semifreddo was a world beater for dessert. The space is very casual and won’t wow a person but the food is where it is at. The best part of the space was that it was full of locals and regulars which made for great people watching. It is also perfect walking distance from the port in a nice part of town.

Good place to eat. The winter caponata is very delicious, enough quantity to be a starter. The pasta with bacon, tomato and pistachios is spectacular, lots of quantity and well presented. The Sicilian wine and cheese risotto is a delight. The desserts of chocolate cake and pistachio semifreddo were quite acceptable. Beer at €2 and water the same. Children baked potatoes with chicken. And they invited us to coffee. The waiter was charming, very friendly. It is worth coming if you are in Messina. €70 4 people (2 children).

Tutto buonissimo, peccato la scelta ridotta ma comunque merita la mia votazione più alta. Consiglio di inserire nel menù qualche altro piatto di primi.

Impeccable cuisine, pleasant and unobtrusive staff, friendly service. I recommend this small restaurant in a secluded little street to anyone who wants to enjoy the flavors of Sicily.

My favorite and the best restaurant in Messina, hands down! I loveeee this place so much. It is tiny but super clean, super cute, and the man is alone running the front house but he is the most cheerful the most hospitable server I've ever had in Italy and I've met many. He also speaks good English!!The food is fantastic, their picanha steak is just the divine and price wise, compare to the quality and quantity of the food you'll get, it is cheap. Menu changes depending on season, but if it's still available. I highly reccomend the donkey starter (i forgot the name) and the picanha steak along with the mushroom pasta. It is truly the best. I enjoyed my meal so much here

Tried it out of curiosity. The environment is nice, unfortunately empty, but it's no one's fault. The staff is kind and accommodating. The menu is short, but the dishes are objectively good. Fair price. We will be back

Quick trip from Catanzaro to Messina!!! We discovered this restaurant. We were really impressed by both the quality and goodness of the food and the good service. Advised.

Fuimos aquí buscando comida sin gluten y vegetariana. El menú está claramente marcado, pero el propietario explicó todas las opciones. Él era muy amable y servicial. Tomamos una salchicha y pasta de tomate y risotto de cítricos. Ambos estaban muy bien cocinados, muy sabrosos y muy bien presentados. No probamos el secondi pero confío en que el cuidado que se nos muestre se ponga en la cocción de los platos principales. ,
