When looking for a place to eat well, without frills and with substance at the heart of the dish, Il Ristorone is a convincing choice.
The cuisine is what you'd expect from a restaurant that focuses on tradition done well: carefully prepared meat and fish dishes, generous portions, and clear flavors, without unnecessary complications. You can sense attention to the ingredients and a confident hand in the kitchen.
Among the must-try dishes, a special mention goes to the cotoletta alla bolognese: rich, delicious, and decidedly memorable.
The atmosphere is informal and welcoming, ideal for both a dinner with friends and a quiet evening with family. The staff is friendly and helpful, which contributes to an overall pleasant and relaxed experience.
The only thing that could be improved: the outdoor parking lot is dimly lit in the evening. Nothing dramatic, but a detail that could be improved to make your arrival even more comfortable.
In summary: solid traditional cuisine, well-made dishes, and a genuine atmosphere. A place to return to, especially if you enjoy good food without too much frills.

We stopped for a business lunch at 1:30 PM without a reservation and were greeted kindly by the host, who immediately set us a table and advised us on what to order, even accommodating our hesitation by offering double courses of pasta. The crescentine and cured meats were fabulous. In short, the food was good and the price was right. Recommended for everyone.

From the outside, it's an old country house, poorly signposted and somewhat noisy. But once inside, the place is very well-kept, tidy and clean, with plenty of space between tables. Service is fast and attentive. We ordered potato gnocchi, which were truly delicious, and crescentine with cured meats and cheese, which also didn't disappoint, along with two side dishes. The portions are generous. Wide selection. Prices aren't the lowest, but they're more than fair, especially considering the quality of the food. On weekdays, it gets crowded at lunchtime; on weekends, reservations are apparently necessary. Overall: beyond our wildest expectations, we'll be back.

A true temple of tradition! Here, tagliatelle with ragù are a religion, and tortellini in broth are a work of art. Authentic, home-cooked flavors, excellent ingredients, and a warm welcome. It's the perfect place for those seeking a "fat" and happy Bologna. Unmissable!
