You won't find an atmosphere like this anywhere else. The staff is incredibly friendly. The food is incredibly good. A place you'll want to stop by whenever you're in the area.

The refuge is well-organized. There used to be a fixed-price menu, now it's à la carte, but the food is always excellent. Mount Matanna is a splendid destination, BUT
I must point out that the road is bordering on impassable. Citizens and authorities should take action to make these roads safe, as they are no longer suited to the traffic and size of today's vehicles. It would be better to close the road at the beginning and activate shuttles or limit the number of people allowed to park, ensuring a parking space and avoiding encountering anyone, as it's a single-lane road with no lay-bys or guardrails.

Beautiful place, a little difficult to get to due to the poor road. Possibilities for lovely walks and wonderful landscapes.

An incredible and welcoming setting, full of adorable animals around the refuge, with plenty of hiking trails for all levels.
As for the food, we thoroughly enjoyed a very generous and hearty menu featuring local produce and traditional recipes!

We stayed here half-board for an Alpine weekend. The food and hospitality were excellent, and the farm's high-quality produce was generally exceptional, which we purchased to take home. Excellent value.
The interiors are rustic, but the outdoor space is spacious and well-maintained, with the opportunity to see the farm's animals.
A wonderful experience that's definitely worth the trip.
We'll be back.

Generous portions, traditional, home-cooked cuisine, some dishes are locally sourced and absolutely "au naturel" (natural), recommended, especially after a good walk.
