Ristorantino da Spanò In Palermo

Very warm welcome. The waitress was lovely and helpful for those who don't speak Italian. Delicious meal. Very well presented.

My Spanish wife and I have just come back to London from a 5-day trip to Palermo, four of which we ate here at this wonderful family restaurant. I'm glad I saw all the positive reviews before leaving London because we then very sensibly went the first night, leaving plenty of time to return. So, firstly don't be put off by its being off the beaten track behind the cathedral and next to a parking lot; it's all part of the authentic charm. We did go to other good restaurants in Palermo but none could compare with Spano. It really is a family-run restaurant Delightful Angela serving and husband Sergio and son Roberto cooking What a team! The best seafood pasta I've ever had and I'm 64 and have been going to Italy for holidays more than any other country. Simple, unfussy home-cooked sublimely delicious food Huge choice. Served with a smile by Angela. And rare for restaurants anywhere in the world these days: 1:Proper serviettes and not horrible tissues 2:Comfortable seats 3: Really nice bossa nova music at low volume level so you can talk. 4: Clean toilets 5: Real menu you can hold in your hand and not downloadable on your phone (I hate that so much). Don't worry about booking just turn up; Angela will look after you. We're missing Palermo and Spano in particular and we only got home yesterday Can't wait to go back one day

I ordered gluten-free food because I have celiac disease. They also have food for those with gluten. Everything was delicious, no complaints afterward. The service was wonderful. I highly recommend it.

We had a very good lunch. The dishes were good and plentiful (daily menu). Angela and Sergio are charming, the only downside was the very slow service...but we are on vacation and the place is very calm and relaxing.

A very pleasant place, with good food and excellent service. We ordered eggplant caponata, stuffed squid, and fried sea bass, all high-quality and very tasty. The terrace was quiet and the service was very good.

Friendly staff! The food was delicious too! The dessert, the Sicilian Cassetina, is homemade and delicious!

Die Wirtin Anna reißt alles heraus - sie ist engagiert und freundlich zugewandt, was man von ihrem männlich Part nicht sagen kann. Vielleicht mag er keine ausländischen Gäste. Die Art, wie er uns bediente, war absolut unfreundlich. Die Küche bevorzugt Meeresfrüchte und das Menü ist sehr reichlich und preiswert. Im Garten sitz man angenehm und hat einen schönen Blick auf historische Gebäude.

Exzellentes Essen mit wundervollem Blick auf den Dom im Abendlicht. 2mal Abend gegessen, einmal Schwertfisch und einmal Dorade. Beidemale wunderbarer Geschmack undhandwerklich hervorragend gekocht. Sehr freundlicher Service. Ein wunderbarer Abschluß eines tollen Tages
