Very good experience, we were served by Angelina who took great care.
We ate very well, nothing to complain about, it’s a very pleasant little neighborhood restaurant that I highly recommend!

If you are looking for an authentic, refined culinary experience accompanied by impeccable service, the Ristorantino da Spano is the ideal place, this restaurant knows how to win over its guests, starting from the warm and professional welcome of the staff. The real highlight of the menu is certainly the crudités. Every taste leaves you speechless and the quality of the fish is absolutely fresh. The dishes are elegantly presented, a real pleasure for the sight and the palate, furthermore the appetizers are the best, each course is taken care of down to the smallest detail, with balanced flavors and combinations that enhance the taste of each ingredient. No less important are the first courses, which have strong flavors and perfect textures.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL PEOPLE... WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING US THEY WELCOMED US EVEN WITHOUT consuming anything other than two coffees, offering us hospitality like true hosts.
TRULY CONGRATULATIONS. WE WILL DEFINITELY RETURN IF WE ARE IN PALERMO.

Empathy and truthfulness
If you are looking for a real restaurant in Palermo you have to go to Ristorantino da Spanó, a small restaurant/trattoria, near the Capo market and not far from the Cathedral.
Finding it on the internet can cause some confusion because it is still the sushi and fish restaurant, opened a few years ago and then closed.
This is the only venue. And what a venue.
The real room is outside, under a white metal gazebo and with many simple tables, surrounded by parking. An oasis.
The chairs are comfortable, and that's no small thing.
But the real strength of this place is called Angela, the owner, a beautiful tall lady with raven hair and, despite her 45 years of age, who cannot be believed unless she shows her identity document, and the 4 children she has fathered, she is the real distributor.
Empathetic, smiling, passionate, who has been in the kitchen for 20 years, continuing the centenary tradition of her grandfather who made traditional frying.
Then she decides to leave the kitchen commands to her husband, Sergio, aka Giancarlo Giannini, with blue eyes and the identical physiognomy of the actor, whose real profession is pastry chef.
You can eat at any time, hurray!
The true rule of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies is that there is no rule... true autonomy is different, more than differentiated!
We start with the tasty sea urchin crostini and then move on to the sea urchin pasta, of endless goodness.
We continue with grilled fish, 4 prawns and a squid, all fresh: a real grilled fish.
A white Fairy Horse from Tasca d'Almerita waters the meal.
Simple, tasty, true.
The lunch is completed by a sweet surprise from Giancarlo... Mr. Sicilian cannoli with pistachio granola.
The price is affordable.
Spanó, a name to remember, synonymous with quality and passion, all Sicilian

Beautiful restaurant right next to the cathedral, but not touristy. High quality food, very fresh ingredients and full of typical Sicilian dishes. Angela was very kind and gave us some great advice! We went for lunch and dinner and I already miss eating there!
