Excellent value restaurant. Also suitable for receptions like birthdays, graduations, or other events. 🍽️ A slightly old-fashioned location, with a large (huge) room that can accommodate many guests. Traditional table setting. 🍝 Different menus; I had the €25 one (first course, second course, dessert, and coffee). Pappardelle with wild boar, spit-roasted lamb, and tiramisu. Medium portions but good quality. 💰 The €20, €25, or €35 menus are excellent options. Otherwise, prices are average.

I'm burning up having had breakfast at 10:00 when I arrived already full (my parents were still hungry after a big breakfast two hours ago XD), but I still had a plate, and it was really good, a moderate portion, and a great price. My parents had the €25 set menu, which includes a first course, a second course, a side dish, a dessert, water, and even coffee. I highly recommend stopping by if you have the opportunity, hoping it's not crowded.

A random alternative to my usual restaurant, which I found closed... I'd say the fettuccine was good, but the porcini mushrooms were frozen and had a huge clove of garlic in them... the Italian-style appetizer was nothing special...

I wasn't familiar with this restaurant; friends brought me there, and I had a truly delicious meal. All the staff were attentive and very kind. I can't say how much it cost because I was a guest.

I've been stopping by for over 20 years, occasionally on the way from Rome to Ancona. Always extremely friendly! The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and typical of the area. I recommend anyone passing through to stop for a meal; they'll be pleasantly surprised.

20/10/2025: This is my first time dining at this restaurant... the food is divine 🤩 My husband and I had the appetizer tasting, followed by poached eggs with black truffle, guinea fowl, steamed cod, and two desserts. Everything was delicious. The girls who work there are all kind and available to give you advice on what to eat. What can I say about the Chef... fantastic, phenomenal, and friendly. You can taste all the love she puts into her work in the food. 💖Thank you 🥰🥰🥰💐 highly recommended

The appetizer was very satisfying, featuring top-quality ingredients prepared with flair and skill. The guinea fowl was very tasty, cooked to perfection. Well-balanced flavors. Recommended.

01/11/2025: Il Cantinone is one of those places that will make you fall in love with Perugia. The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, with a warm, authentic feel that immediately makes you feel at home. The cuisine is simply fantastic: traditional Umbrian dishes, top-quality ingredients. From fresh pasta to meat dishes, to desserts… everything is delicious and served with great attention to detail. The owner is very kind, passionate, and always available to recommend the perfect dish or wine. An experience you absolutely must try if you're in Perugia: excellent cuisine, a beautiful atmosphere, and impeccable hospitality.
