Anniversary lunch on a sunny Saturday... comfortable armchairs and a warm atmosphere that smells of experience and breathes history from every pore. Very nice restaurant in a XIX century location; we could not visit the rooms as in summer the tables are outside, but the location is very nice, in the villa's courtyard, very quiet, old fashioned looking; the staff was very welcoming and kind, the menu is made of typical dishes and focuses more on meat than fish; we were offered a welcome glass of sparkling wine and an little appetizer, a very good habit all restaurants should adopt; the ordered bigoli (typical pasta) with duck sauce and tagliatelle with chanterelles mushrooms, both very tasty; then braised beef cheek with Amarone sauce and grilled vegetables with fried cheese, again pretty nice; adding 2 desserts and 1 bottle of Valpolicella superiore (35 euros), the bill was about 120 euros, very good value for money; the owner also offered us a digestive before leaving. A place to come back.
