Buona la cucina anche con rivisitazioni moderne della tradizione. Non si può andare via senza essere passati dalla "cantina". Ambiente molto accogliente.

Really pleasant stay at the Hotel and Restaurant Villa De Winckels: the single room with double bed was comfortable, clean and with a spacious and well-kept bathroom. The structure, the result of a well-done restoration, is managed with great attention by three very kind brothers who made us feel at home. We had dinner at the restaurant and, with great availability, they also put a big screen at our disposal to watch the Champions League final. Simple but well-studied menu, excellent quality dishes and an excellent Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore. Truly perfect quality-price ratio. A welcoming and well-managed reality, which I recommend without hesitation.

I returned with pleasure to the restaurant Villa de Winckels, the years pass but it always maintains the highest attention to detail, quality of products, a very pleasant confirmation. Times between one course and another are a bit long, but acceptable, it is more than compensated by the 6-star location!

We booked for a baptism lunch and we were more than satisfied with our choice. As an appetizer we chose the buffet type, food at will and for all tastes. Generous portions with multiple re-serves, very good food and excellent quality.

Ristorante curato, accogliente ed elegante. Il servizio a mio avviso rimane il loro fiore all’occhiello, da inizio a fine pranzo non hanno sbagliato un colpo. Buona la cucina, dal fegato, passando per l’agnello e l’ottimo prosciutto crudo. Un piatto che ci ha lasciato un po’ perplessi è stato quello degli gnocchi di zucca che più che gnocchi sembravano una querelle…buoni ma non ce li aspettavamo così ! Validi anche i dolci, millefoglie in primis. Consigliato per qualsiasi tipo di evento.

29/04/2025: The environment is undoubtedly perfect, everything in its place in rustic and familiar rooms, with hanging pots and drapes, antique tools restored and reused as cabinets or furnishing objects, photos of the past... Outside a pergola with tables perfect for summer evenings, on the walls all the awards obtained over time. Even though there are more rooms, it is difficult to find a place if you have not booked well in advance, even during the week. The menu is written in italics on a very nice notebook, it is not very vast but has excellent dishes. The trio of tortellini was a good choice, with different and unexpected flavors (ricotta, spinach and speck + pumpkin and amaretto + asparagus) and the portion is more than right given the size of the pasta. Cod with polenta is different from the Vicenza creamed cod in that it remains softer and tastier. The Rosi dessert with chocolate cream and amaretto is good, the consistency is a bit soft which I don't like but the taste was there. Prices are quite average
26/04/2025: On the occasion of a weekend in Valeggio we went to dinner in this restaurant convinced by the reviews and the style of the place seen in the photos and I must say that we were able to enjoy food of truly exceptional quality, we noticed an important customer care with a fair cost and proportionate to the courses taken. A truly unforgettable experience and one that we will do again when we return to these parts. Congratulations for all the effort they put into managing their place.
