Ristorante Venus In Orta san giulio

In May the restaurant starts to get crowded due to the presence of many tourists. The one next door is closed so we have some doubts whether there is room even for just two people. Instead we are made to sit inside and even on the veranda with a view of the lake. We are amazed by the contrast between the oilcloth tablecloth and the cloth napkins. The menu options are inviting and we order two appetizers with scallops and avocado pulp, a Milanese risotto with melted cheese and a plate of spaghetti with clams (which should have been tagliolini according to the menu) and two pistachio Bavarian creams, all accompanied by two glasses of Ribolla bianco. All the dishes are very successful and well presented. Courteous service that continued well beyond 3:00 pm and prices in line with the quality of the food and the tourist location. In conclusion, better than expected, with a few flaws.

The food, service, and ambiance were really good – the location (right on the water) and the view (island) were both excellent. I would recommend the pizza 🍕 🍕 🍕, ....ours was really great.

Super nice spot right on the lake with a view of the island, delicious pizza, and perfectly reasonable prices. Not a tourist trap, just really good 🙂

Ate a good pizza.. practically on the lake shore.. in front of the island San Giulio.. Lake Orta Really pleasant atmosphere, in the center of Orta.. surely all the other dishes will be very good too! With three photos.. you can see..

Wonderful location. Service was superficially friendly, with some shortcomings. Pizza not recommended. The wine was excellent.

We had a great coffee in the morning. Later, we had lunch. Very tasty! Especially friendly service. Beautiful location and view.

Very good service, we had a spritz and an amaro on the terrace at the end of the afternoon and they offered us a plate of cold meats, cheese, olives!

Resolvemos jantar no primeiro andar da área interna do restaurante, que é bastante charmosa e oferece uma bela vista para a ilha de San Giulio. Como não é temporada, o prato foi servido rápido (espaguete à carbonara) e estava muito saboroso. Pedi um vinho barbera. Na carta de vinhos, há opções que começam com 20 euros, mas há possibilidade de se pedir somente uma taça também (5 euros). Realmente, a experiência é diferenciada por causa da belíssima vista do lago. A conta para casal ficou em cerca de 70 euros. Pratos individuais em torno de 15-20 euros, mas é o padrão do local.
