While traveling, we were looking for a place to have lunch in Sondrio. We called to ask for a place for two, and a kind gentleman said he was waiting for us. Nice place, clean, tidy, excellent dishes and combinations, good welcome and service, even if a little cold. Recommended. Personally, I prefer a warmer welcome and service.

A refined location with free on-site parking. A wide selection on the menu includes some typical Valtellina dishes and other refined dishes. Upon entering, you're greeted by the extensive wine cellar, featuring mostly Valtellina wines and Piedmontese Nebbiolo. Attentive service with excellent timing.

Excellent pizzoccheri, as well as the selection of bresaola and venison carpaccio. Excellent selection of Valtellina wines, spoiled for choice. Rustic location. Friendly and helpful service.

Nice restaurant with a large terrace where we enjoyed our meal. Very friendly staff and excellent food. A small downside is the coffee. Since I pass through that area often, I'll gladly return.

Hotel La Montanina Ristorante

13/04/2026: A big plus for the central location. Outstanding dinners—worth another star. Friendly service, a hotel in my typical Alpine style. Ski storage, parking, beautiful mountain-style rooms. A great bar. Be sure to ask for a specific street to enter—only the one provided in the reservation email is acceptable; otherwise, you might get a fine for driving on an internal city street. I rate the hotel as divine!
03/03/2026: When it gets late, the employees are in the mood of "I wish the customers would leave and go to bed so we could go home."

02/05/2026: Impeccable and courteous service, everything very good, we took the Valtellinese menu and we were surprised by the excellent quality/price ratio, superlative tartare seasoned at the table
14/04/2026: We were their guests for dinner four consecutive nights in April 2026, and they always stood out for their courtesy, kindness, experience, friendliness, professionalism, and, most importantly, honesty. We ate different dishes each time, and each dish was a new experience of taste and flavor combinations. The portions were generous, and the atmosphere was welcoming and well-decorated, with a consistently perfect atmosphere. If I were to return to Tirano, I would have no doubts about where to eat. Thank you ❤️.
