Ristorante Sottovento In Passignano sul trasimeno

A wonderful place with a view of Lake Trasimeno. The place is small, seating about 6-8 people outside and about 20 inside. I love it during the week for lunch when there's hardly anyone there; the outdoor table with a view is my all-time favorite. The dishes are very generous; the seafood spaghetti is enormous and delicious, but the raw fish and mussels are also excellent and plentiful. I finished lunch with a fantastic lemon sorbet, also plentiful. I spent €45 for an appetizer, first course, dessert, and water; the cover charge is €2. The staff was friendly and quick. The place was clean, including the bathroom, which is very spacious. Reservations aren't necessary during the week, but I highly recommend it on weekends to enjoy the outdoor view. A few cars pass by, but not too much to bother you. Parking is about 200-300 meters away, and there's a fee.

Lovely seafood, beautiful view if you get a table on the terrace. Seemed to be a very popular place, so I recommend making reservations (so did we). A very enjoyable lunch.

We organized a day trip to Lake Trasimeno and booked this restaurant with a lake view from home...what can I say? Impeccable service, superb food, and a very friendly and welcoming owner. We'll definitely be back.

The restaurant was fully booked on a Monday evening at the end of January. This suggests the food is good, and indeed it is; the dishes are tasty and plentiful. Good service, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. An experience worth repeating.

We were on vacation near the lake and ate at this restaurant by chance. We rarely return to the same place twice, but given the wonderful experience, we ordered a second time. The welcome, the service, the quality of the food, the wide variety of dishes on the menu, the generous portions, and the fair prices. Congratulations! An experience definitely worth recommending and repeating.

Excellent food, both in terms of quality and menu selection. It's a shame there were too many tables, too close to the door. Also, it was so cold on the veranda that we had to wear coats to dine.

Stop the press. What did we just experience. How is this not on the Michelin guide. Talk about refined and taste sensation. Take a bow Chef. Excellent. This is the best seafood in the region. Hands down the best. Best setting. Great wine and every mouthful made our hearts melt. And dog friendly. My dog didnt know he liked lobster.
