Ristorante Sottovento In Passignano sul trasimeno

I am a regular customer. probably the best or one of the best fish restaurants in the area. excellent service, very welcoming place and excellent quality fish, simple and not very "rigged" as fish should always be. pyramid of absolutely quality raw and roasted meats, among the first courses not to be missed is nettuno, a pacchero with shellfish and extraordinary rock. Francesco (owner and chef), very attentive to detail.

The greatness of this small restaurant lies in the respect for customers, in being extremely attentive without being intrusive: during a lunch with my relative, with my eyes fixed on a fairytale lake immersed in the December fog, I indulged my obsessions of greatness by ordering a sample of four-course starters (very small detail: the food is divine) while the relative opted for a simple course of octopus. Well, considering the different service times between my starter and that of the diner, on my third visit they brought an empty plate for him too, convinced that I would have had the grace to share the au gratin with him (I did, but it was It was very painful for me.) And at the fourth step, the clam and mussel broth, a portion was served to him too, without even a word! Now these things should be said slowly, otherwise the reader could invent an easy strategy to eat freely (and perhaps it is the practice in elegant restaurants, I usually go to mangers), but for me it was the gesture of "gentlemanly" people, of a elegance without frills and honest and genuine attachment to the spirit of one's work. I already have two occasions in mind to go back soon and bring my closest friends, and I promise I won't order the four-pass appetizer! ;-D

Starters ok. First courses average, a respectable rice must not be rice that doesn't overcook, especially in a place like this.

Sjieke inrichting. Klassiek. Prachtig opgemaakt eten. Heerlijk vers en met zorg bereid. Het restaurant zat vol met Italianen wat een goed teken is. Reserveren is noodzakelijk. Prijs/kwaliteit is absoluut in balans. Wat kleine opmerkingen zoals moeten vragen om een lepel bij de soep. Er was één persoon dat Engels sprak, maar iedereen deed echt zijn of haar best. De moeite waard!

Locale sapientemente gestito. In sala il personale ti coccola e ti permette di farti sentire perfettamente a tuo agio. Cucina in grado di farti fare un tuffo nei sapori del "mare nostrum", sapori perfettamente bilanciati e che riempiono di gusto il palato. Prezzi in linea con la ristorazione contemporanea ma si esce soddisfatti per il rapporto qualita' prezzo.
