I loved everything: the traditional dishes, which I loved, along with local specialties, the friendly yet respectful service, the cool, green location, and the cleanliness inside. I'd definitely repeat the experience. The only downside is the wait time for your food.

We stopped into the lovely town of Monteleone and our first stop as you get into town was Scacco Matto. We decided to have lunch and were happy we did! The experience was very authentic and enjoyable. Antonio was a true gentlemen and helped me find our family’s home after lunch! A very memorable experience for our family, thanks to Antonio and his team!

12/03/2026: Kindness and courtesy. A variety of hot and cold appetizers. The "cacio è pepe" could be improved. The meat is tender. The price is good. We'll definitely see you again: we're practically always in the area. I forgot: they even told us to call a day in advance to order whatever we wanted. What more could you want from life? THANK YOU, restaurateurs of Passo d'Orta
09/02/2026: Excellent quality ratio on the product served, helpful and kind waiters.... the negative thing is that the prices on the list do not match then reported on the bill (on the bill you will find prices increased by € 1-2) pointed out at the time of payment and justified with absurd excuses..... never again
