We ordered pasta, Arrabiatta, and Carbonara. Both dishes were delicious. I didn't like it, and it seemed like a steal to pay €4 for the cutlery, when I've been paying between €1 and €2 in even more upscale restaurants since Milan. So €8 for just the cutlery is very expensive.

Great food but our waiter (guy with glasses) at the end was very pushy for a cash tip even though we already paid a service fee for dining in. Can’t tell if we were targeted for being tourists but it left a bad impression at the end of what would have been a good dinner.

I first ate here 25 years ago. The pizza capricciosa was the best I've ever had, and it was such a pleasure to find the restaurant was still there. Of course, a capricciosa was first on the list and it was every bit as good as back then. Their secret is the ham which is shaved fresh off the bone each time. So good! The eggplant parmigiana was also excellent as was the house wine. Love this place - a great family restaurant tucked away, and a hidden gem.

We were wandering around the side and back streets of Sorrento and came across Da Gigino.
We tried both of their ravioli dishes, a Ravioli alla Caprese and a Ravioli Genovese. Both were good, but we both liked the Genovese better. We shared an antipasto- prosciutto with mozzarella and melon. They fresh cut the dish in the front of the house, including shaving the meat.
The night we went, there were a lot of Americans in the restaurant. They do try and pull tourists and seem to be successful at it. Takes a little away from the ambiance. Some of my fellow citizens are a little much at times. Sigh...

Ambiente casalingo e genuino, sia per l'arredamento che per la cucina, saporita e abbondante, a prezzi accessibili. La proprietaria Luisa è cortese e accogliente, il personale molto attento e disponibile. Marilena in particolare ci tiene che tutti si sentano a casa. Bella la parte esterna con tavoli circondati da agrumi.

Tuvimos una gran y memorable comida. Los platos de pasta eran deliciosos — lingüine alla bolognese y espagueti con almejas. El rojo de la casa era encantador y terminamos la comida con pastel de limón y mousse de chocolate. El limoncello era genial en vasos helados.
