For the past three years, we've spent three weeks each year on our Sardinia tour – and every year we've returned to this restaurant in Urzulei, nestled in the mountains. It feels like it's in the middle of nowhere, deep in the mountains, and that's precisely what makes it so special. An absolute dream. Here, good, honest cuisine is still paramount.
This family-run business, managed by the owner's mother, radiates so much warmth. You can immediately tell that the cooking here is done with passion and tradition. Everything is fresh, authentic, and prepared with incredible love. In three years of Sardinia, we haven't eaten as well anywhere else. It's always a highlight of our trip and has become a fixed part of our itinerary. If you're looking for genuine Sardinian cuisine, warmth, and quality, this is the place to be. For us, it's one of the best places on the entire island. We'll be back. 🥰❤️

Giampaolo and his mother prepare traditional local dishes, mostly home-grown, they tell me, except for the coffee because it doesn't ripen :-D The handmade pasta, the homemade cured meats, all special... The flavors of yesteryear. No industrial products. Including the excellent, drinkable wine, unlike some industrial wines loaded with chemicals... Seadas with real local red prawn honey, 10+++ and extraordinary kindness. Worth a visit, we'll be back soon.

The restaurant is run by Giampaolo and his mother, who are friendly and kind. A place where you can savor the traditional flavors of Sardinian cuisine. It's worth a visit, and I hope to return soon.
