We would sum up our experience in this picturesque Eastern Sardinian restaurant as indescribable. The amazing service and hospitality of the owner was breathtaking. We ordered Prosciutto e Fughi and Diavolu pizzas - EXCELLENT value for money. After dinner, we were offered local liqueur (two types) and traditional mini-desserts prepared by the owner's mother. Highly recommended, certainly not our last visit. Thank you.❤️

We arrived by chance at this Sardinian farmhouse and we didn't regret it! The host was really kind and welcoming, the typical Sardinian menu was exquisite! We tasted authentic and delicious dishes. I highly recommend visiting it! Great experience, we will definitely be back!"

The innkeeper Giampaolo really welcomed us with great availability.
The chosen menu, appetizer with bread, cured meats and vegetables in oil of their own production followed by a tasting of a trio of typical first courses, was truly of excellent quality.
The simple and unpretentious environment, the lit fireplace and the rest made us spend a moment outside of time. If I pass through these parts again I will stop to taste the grilled meats, another specialty of the place.

Something hidden in the mountains - you don't really know whether it's an abandoned farm or a car graveyard. Only the guests sitting and eating on the terrace make one think of a restaurant. A gray-haired lady does the service. There is no menu, typical Sardinian menu or pizza, white or red wine by the carafe. Several courses are served one after the other. Simple, no-frills cuisine. Pickled vegetables, a very tasty goat cheese and bread. Then gnocchi with cheese and tomato sauce and two more courses. With two Mirto, espresso and 0.5l wine and a meringue dessert we paid €25 per person.
For me it was simple, honest cuisine, not (not even expected) star gastronomy. The whole atmosphere, donkeys and cats etc. was a total experience.

Eating at Sant’Anghelu was the highlight of our trip through the nuoro province.
Gianpaolo, the cook and owner, provides an amazing culinary experience, with a set meal based on seasonal products. We were served with fresh courses of vegetables, pasta, meat and desserts, all of which were incredibly tasty and filling. This, coupled with lots of wine and local liquors, amounted to around 40 euros per person (but 25 without the meat courses and wines/ liquors), which was really surprising for the quality and quantity of food provided (we recommend not eating anything the day before)

Great welcome! Traditional meal of excellent quality. Typically Sardinian setting.
We particularly appreciated the service because we see that the boss does his work with passion and pride. It is important to him to share local culinary traditions and it shows.
In addition, the price was more than fair considering the quality, quantity of the products and everything I mentioned above.
I highly recommend! It's nice to see that there are still restaurateurs like this.

Nonostante avessimo dato pochissimo tempo di preavviso per la prenotazione, i titolari sono stati disponibilissimi ed accoglienti.
Il cibo fresco e di qualità, perfetto per chi vuole fare un esperienza gastronomica sarda a 360 gradi e respirare l'atmosfera ogliastrina.
