Saturday lunch was nothing short of amazing with a trolley of boiled meats served expertly by the owner. Excellent appetizer and tagliatelle with traditional ragù. Attentive service and fair price. Quality restaurant.!

In compagnia di carissime amiche ci troviamo con il papy.Conosciamo da anni questo ristorante e quindi andiamo a colpo sicuro. Ricordandomi i famosi tortellacci del pellegrino metto d'accordo i gusti di tutti🙂, altra scelta condivisa il carrello delle carmi, splendido alla vista ed ottimo al gusto, carni tenerissimo, gustose ed un puro di patate come quello di un tempo, meraviglioso.Ottimo il Sangiovese superiore e squisiti i dolci, bravissimi!

Locale carino, titolare simpatico, bollito ottimo, le crescentine unte e di impasto non all'altezza. I tortellini di ottima qualità. Un po troppo caro. Offerti dolci da forno con Passito, ma come se fossero già in conto.

We know this restaurant well because we frequent it often. What can I say? Every time it's a guarantee!! Super recommended restaurant!!!! The environment is welcoming and well furnished. The staff are friendly, professional and always available. The food is excellent, from starters to desserts. The ingredients used are of excellent quality and everything is prepared with care and dedication. The boiled meats trolley is absolutely worth trying.

Mid-week dinner. It met all expectations. Genuine food, traditional menu and careful and simply tasty preparation. Risotto with balsamic vinegar, baked ham and Milanese steak for 10. The service was pleasant, making us feel like home guests. We will be back as soon as possible

It was the first time we were in this restaurant... a bit vintage, welcoming decor, with super friendly and attentive staff... classic food and a well-stocked trolley for boiled meats... and you don't find that often...

I discovered by chance everything very good and genuine like the owner. I took gnocco with ham and mixed boiled meat served with various sauces, all fresh and good. Last consideration is no small consideration: impeccable sanitary facilities for order and cleanliness

18/02/2025: I was in Modena for a sports competition and being in a nearby b&b, I decided to go and eat in this place. The food is very good, the owner is very approachable and friendly, the bill was honest compared to what I ate (I don't know in the area whether it could be expensive or not). The place isn't anything special, but for a restaurant it's certainly well done. Advised! The fried gnocco is very good!
17/02/2025: Excellent experience!! Super recommended. Emilian and Sicilian dishes. The place is small, but nice and welcoming. The owner, friendly and available for choosing the dish based on tastes. The Palermo-style rolls are delicious. Reservation recommended.

15/02/2025: When you enter La Rana, you don't go to eat but to live an experience, among the only historic surviving trattorias. In the middle of nowhere in the Marzaglia countryside of Modena, easily reachable but you only see it when you've already passed it.... and you have to go back. Everything stopped in the 70s, a journey through time. Genuine, informal and trattoria-like environment, the food is the best, guaranteed quantities, unbeatable price-quality. family run, attentive, fast, friendly staff...etc I don't have any particular recommendations on dishes, you can't go wrong, the menu has been like this for decades, so it's well-explored.
12/02/2025: The Frog is always a guarantee. Excellent traditional food, generous portions, friendly and smiling staff. I would say almost unbeatable quality/price ratio.
