Had lunch with friends. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was also beautiful. We ate on the veranda with a lovely view of the garden. The price was average.

We had lunch at this restaurant nestled in a truly magical village. The ambiance is impeccable: a beautiful place, tastefully decorated with great attention to detail. The service was also good, courteous, and punctual. Regarding the food, the experience was mixed: The Fassona beef tartare was truly excellent and perhaps the highlight of the meal. The steak that followed was good and of high quality. The local tortellini (from the Mincio) with butter and sage were disappointing: the butter was almost nonexistent, and the pasta was overcooked, despite the filling having a good flavor (and we, as Bolognese, understand that!). The chicken was stringy and dry, not very pleasant. It's a shame, because the quality and the location deserve more attention.

I was in Borghetto for just one day, but the place itself is charming and romantic. The restaurant is large and spacious, but dimly lit and bright inside. I ordered a boneless slice of chicken alla diavola and was served a chicken that still had whole pieces of bone... not exactly what I ordered. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. Ample parking is available on the sides and at the entrance to the Borgo.

Friendly staff, good food, and their white chocolate, saffron, and lemon panettone is the best...

Excellent food, but the service ruined the experience - the rib eye was uncut! ​We dined at your restaurant last night. The overall dining experience was excellent and deserves top marks. ​Strengths: ​Appetizer/First Course: The ravioli were excellent, truly well-made. ​Wine: The excellent Custoza paired perfectly with the dinner. ​Desserts: The desserts were also excellent. ​The Sore Point (Very Serious): Unfortunately, the experience was ruined when the 500g beef rib eye was served. The meat was delicious and perfectly cooked, but carving it proved impossible with the knives provided. ​I kindly asked the waiter for a carving knife (such as a hacksaw or one with a sharp, smooth blade), which is essential for a rib eye. The response was unacceptable: I was told that "those were the only knives and I had to make do." I was forced to cut the rib eye into four large pieces to eat it, ending up eating it with my hands and "toothpicking," a truly embarrassing and shameful gesture for a dinner out.

One small but important point to note regarding outdoor dining: Since the plates are not preheated, the food cools down quickly outside, especially in a light breeze or cooler temperatures. For guests who would like their meal to stay warm for longer, dining indoors might be the better option. Service and Organization The service was friendly and contributed to a pleasant stay. A particular advantage is the on-site parking. Guests who dine at Grand Café San Marco receive a code that unlocks the parking lot – a great convenience in the small, often busy village of Borghetto.

Today's weather certainly helped create a delicious lunch. I'd been here years ago, so we returned to Valeggio sul Mincio to stop for lunch here. The food was good, the dishes were just the right size, and the prices were in line with the setting and quality.
