The location is very beautiful, the idea of getting there by boat tickled me, if you book not at the last minute you can eat on the edge of the lake in the summer with the outdoor area open it must be wonderful

The food is not of the highest standard but good, the price is a little high but acceptable, the portion of the first course is really small
Definitely a recommended place for a romantic lunch with an accompanying walk around the island.

Siamo stati bene. Servizio veloce e disponibile. un bel locale nel complesso. Forse non molta scelta per le portate però il risotto e gli antipasti erano cucinato bene. Bella la vista sul lago.

Situato sulla bellissima isola di San Giulio. Seduti ai tavoli esterni, si può ammirare un bellissimo panorama del lago. Personale gentilissimo, servizio veloce. Piatti ben presentati di ottima qualità, dagli antipasti sino ai dolci. Prezzi adeguati.

The San Giulio restaurant enjoys a fantastic location - you eat on a terrace overlooking the lake with spectacular views. The risotto with perch and pike on a bed of tomato, buffalo mozzarella and spinach and Taggiasche crumble were superlative gastronomic experiences. We chose a Chiaretto del Garda which "married" both dishes well. The service was attentive, helpful and always courteous from all the waiters, and in particular Mr Patrizio looked after us with great concern and kindness. My daughter has celiac disease and the kitchen was very careful to make small variations to the dishes chosen to make them suitable for a gluten-free diet. The bill was "fair" for all of the above - just over €50 each.

This restaurant is located in a unique and evocative context like that of the island of San Giulio.
Housed inside ancient buildings, it has the peculiarity of a terrace overlooking Lake Orta making lunch and/or dinner very pleasant.
I had lunch there with my wife on a beautiful September day and we had the opportunity to appreciate the excellent dishes while admiring the wonderful view. Unfortunately, the island doesn't offer much, other than a walk along the Streets of Silence, but the restaurant is really worth trying.
