Ristorante San Giulio In Orta san giulio

Restaurant, I believe the only one, located on the island of San Giulio. I recommend booking and asking to have lunch or dinner on the terrace overlooking the lake. This terrace offers a significant portion of the view of Lake Orta. Regarding the menu, there are several solutions. I tasted the lake menu they proposed, 4 courses, including dessert, of absolute quality. The pasta was very fresh, probably homemade. The second course, a trout fillet, something exceptional. The dessert, Marsala zabaglione with sbrodolona cake, was a worthy conclusion. The selection of wines offered is particular, I have not read about wines from "commercial" wineries. Considering the location and what was tasted, costs are definitely in line, if not lower, than the offer. High level staff, courtesy, friendliness and professionalism. Absolutely recommended.

Having booked a few days in advance and having asked for a table with a view, we ate practically on the lakeside. We took two tasting menus, both very good. While waiting between one course and another, given the amount of people that day, they offered us a glass of prosecco. Better than this!.. Highly recommended.

Great service and good cocktails

The only restaurant on the island of San Giulio, we were there on Sunday 13th on a trip, a group of 50 people and more, and even though we were so numerous and all arrived together, the waiter who assisted us was very good, quick, efficient and kind despite our assault! We ate well, lake fish flan, risotto, trout steak, a very soft cake. The place is very charming and characteristic, like the island itself. The only flaw was the bad weather, as always these days...

Excellent food and price and the same goes for the location. Too bad about the service, waiters quite rude and not informed about what they serve, but for the highly recommended given that it is the only restaurant on the island and it has a beautiful view of the lake.

Ci siamo recati in questo ristorante durante la nostra visita ad Orta San Giulio. Ristorante molto carino con una bella vista sul lago. Personale molto accogliente. Cibo buono e qualità prezzo direi ottima. Unica pecca è che abbiamo aspettato veramente tanto le portate ma probabilmente ci sarà stato qualche problemino in cucina. Consigliato

Ate quite well, they are slow, I advise you not to put the central seat with the chair where everyone passes, have a lunch with people who beat you on the chair, every time they pass, not at most.

Without a doubt the best restaurant on the island

Nonostante fossi un po' scettico per la qualità dei piatti legata al fatto che non avessero concorrenza (essendo l'unico ristorante dell'isola), siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi!!! Piatti gustosi, ben pensati e presentati molto bene. Suggerisco fortemente l'antipasto di trota salmonata e il risotto al pesce persico. Il servizio è stato distinto e gentile, l'atmosfera invece era accogliente e rilassante grazie alla vista diretta sul lago.

Although I was a little skeptical about the quality of the dishes due to the fact that they had no competition (being the only restaurant on the island), we were pleasantly surprised!!! Tasty dishes, well thought out and very well presented. I strongly suggest the salmon trout appetizer and the perch risotto. The service was distinguished and kind, while the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing thanks to the direct view of the lake.
