We arrived with a reservation made a week in advance, since we'd only be in the area for a couple of days, and we were given a table overlooking the lake. The place is enchanting and allows for a totally relaxing lunch. The waiter is truly kind and available to answer any questions. I had a truly exceptional lake fish and chips, while my wife had a soy-marinated trout fillet that was simply amazing. An excellent experience, highly recommended.

Unique place with nice food and great service. The restaurant is located on the island of San Giulio, offering a beautiful view of the lake. The restaurant will send a boat to the mainland and will get you back there at the end of your evening. We recommend the tasting menu which seems to be the best quality to price ratio.

An experience of true hospitality—beyond all expectations! We had the privilege of celebrating our tenth wedding anniversary at Ristorante San Giulio, in a truly unique setting. The island, the lake, the romantic atmosphere… everything seemed perfect, but what made it truly unforgettable was the welcome we received. Special thanks go to Niccolò, who demonstrated a rare sense of hospitality: a generous and authentic gesture that went beyond the usual industry norms. Before being a restaurateur, you need to know how to be hospitable—and here, they are in the fullest and most human sense of the word. We chose the "Lago" tasting menu, and every dish won us over. Attention to detail, balanced flavors, and top-quality ingredients: a cuisine that speaks the language of elegance without ever being pretentious. The service was impeccable: attentive, kind, competent staff, perfectly suited to the location. San Giulio isn't just a restaurant: it's an experience worth living at least once, a place where time seems to stand still and everything revolves around beauty, care, and authenticity. The wonder of an excellent restaurant on a romantic and delightful little island, excellent food, impeccable service, and kind and helpful waiters. I even brought my dog, who was allowed on the boat and offered water and sweets at the restaurant. It's truly worth living and dining in this place, where you can breathe in the magic and enjoy excellent food. 10/10

Great food and very nice location. We had lunch on the terrace. The only flaw is the scorching heat, the terrace should be equipped with air conditioners / climate control.

At Ristorante San Giulio you eat well, with dishes that are refined but never pretentious, such as the fresh pasta with lake fish: tasty, well-balanced and cooked to perfection. The staff is welcoming and attentive, without ever being intrusive. All in an enchanting location, overlooking the calm waters of Lake Orta. Perfect for a family lunch dedicated to relaxation and good food.

We booked 5 days in advance for dinner on Saturday night. It is likely to be full without a reservation. They picked us up right on time with their boat in Orta. What can I say? Wonderful location, delicious food, fast, attentive and friendly staff. One of them took us upstairs to the room to show me where they filmed the movie La Correspondence (one of my favorites). Prices appropriate for the location. Highly recommended.

Abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante nel corso dell'ultimo giorno di un viaggio in Piemonte. Abbiamo pranzato molto bene. Peccato che è stato in mordi e fuggi perché dovevamo subito rientrare a casa. Se dovessi tornare, vorrei sostare di più, perché è un posto davvero particolare.

Ci siamo recati in questo ristorante durante la nostra visita ad Orta San Giulio. Ristorante molto carino con una bella vista sul lago. Personale molto accogliente. Cibo buono e qualità prezzo direi ottima. Unica pecca è che abbiamo aspettato veramente tanto le portate ma probabilmente ci sarà stato qualche problemino in cucina. Consigliato
