This Is a unique place in an area of many choices. You really feel you’re in Italy not in a touristic venue. Food is good, prices good, but atmosphere unmistakably Italian.

Regina Restaurant on a side street near our hotel was a good find went there because they make tortellini any way you like it also their lasagna is one of the best lasagna I had tried and I am Italian their veal saltimbocca were also delicious and they serve cicoria(chicory) as a side vegetable which I had not eaten since my grandmother died in the 90's she used to make it for Sunday dinner all the time...the decor of Regina Restaurant is kind of spartan like most restaurants in Rome that mostly cater to locals but they do have price fixed menu for tourists it was worth the short walk to have lunch there and it was quite reasonable with most food on the menu at about 9-10 euros.

I have been eating here for 20 years. In the entire Termini/Castro Pretorio area there is no better place. Family management, cleanliness, courtesy, good food.

un oasi in una zona non sempre accogliente anche dal punto di vista culinario. gestione familiare, servizio amichevole e cortese. tutto buonissimo, punta di vitello, polpette, carciofi e in generale i contorni. consigliatissimo.

11/07/2025: The food is delicious. I recommend the sliced meat and chicory, both special. The mixed antipasto is their strong point, all handmade. The pizza is delicious and very large, so if you're full, I recommend asking for a pizza box so you don't waste anything. The staff is very kind, the waitresses are polite and friendly. The owner, Eleonora, is wonderful, kind, and always available. Outside, there's a large parking lot and wooden benches overlooking the Aniene River, and further along, there's a beautiful park called I 5 Sensi. Inside, everything is made of beautiful wood, even the chairs and tables. What can I say? A full 5 stars.

Ristrot San Pietro

19/07/2025: We ate here 3 nights out of 4 during our stay in Rome, trying something different every night. The staff were friendly and talkative, and spoke multiple languages. The menu consisted of many different meals including pasta, pizza, and burgers. There was only one night we had a starter but we chose the cold meat platter for 2 which was probably enough for 3. I would recommend the basil and pistachio lasagne, which was to die for as was the Bolognese lasagna (no need for a side salad). But the real treats are the desserts especially the pannacotta and tiramisu. The view from the restaurant was the top of St Peter's basilica (which was ruined by the burger king on the opposite side of the road). But the staff and food definitely make up for it Would definitely give this restaurant a try.
16/05/2025: We were served by Simone, the treatment was great, the quality/price was incredible and the location is fantastic with views of St. Peter's dome.
