The steak was huge! The quality of the meat and the seasoning were top-notch. The carbonara was also excellent. The seafood pasta and a glass of wine cost 56 euros. I want to come again!

The fried calamari and shrimp were excellent. Unfortunately, the marinara pasta tasted of oil and had no seafood flavor at all! The waiter was very kind, knowledgeable, and very polite.

Very good, however a bit expensive, especially the wine and the garnishes.

An Unplanned Gem: A Highlight of the Trip ​My wife and I visited Ristorante La Fornace on a whim. We were staying nearby and noticed the closest restaurant appeared to be at full capacity; I am so glad we made the decision to walk in here. It turned out to be a fantastic experience and was certainly one of the highlights of our holiday. ​Atmosphere and Service ​The restaurant is quaint and has a wonderful, family-run vibe. The walls are covered in interesting photos of what I believe is the owner alongside many famous people. While I did not recognise most of the celebrities, it was still fascinating to look at them. ​The service was equally brilliant. I regret not asking for the gentleman's name; he was bald and incredibly warm. He was friendly and had a great sense of humour; his English was also very good, which made the evening even more enjoyable. ​Food and Drink ​The food was exceptional across the board. We started with the bruschetta; it is a classic dish but was executed perfectly with fresh, delicious tomatoes and the ideal amount of oil and seasoning. ​For the mains, my wife had the carbonara. It was delicious and served in a very generous portion. I opted for both the lasagne and a margherita pizza with buffalo mozzarella. The pizza was divine; the base was crispy, the sauce was light, and it had the perfect amount of cheese. I finished the meal with a traditional dessert of dark cherries and ricotta, which was a lovely way to end the sitting. ​Value for Money ​The value for money here is truly incredible. I found it hard to believe how much food we received for such a low price. Our total bill came to just €55. This included our drinks, bread, two starters, three mains (as I was feeling particularly greedy), and dessert. ​Final Verdict ​If I lived in this area, I would definitely visit regularly. It offers a perfect blend of high-quality food, welcoming service, and excellent pricing. I cannot recommend it enough for anyone looking for an authentic and affordable meal.

We went to this place not expecting much, but it really surprised us. The dishes are carefully prepared, flavorful, and you can tell they put a lot of attention into what's served. Everything was delicious, without being heavy or overdone. Top service: friendly, fast, and always available staff, which really makes the difference.

Very good place for nice original Italian food. We came at lunch time on Sunday, restaurant was almost full but kindly owner manage to found table for six persons. Food was absolutely gorgeous, best carbonara, ragu, lasagne, tiramisu and Pana Cotta. Meals was so good that we forgot to take pictures.

Overall, I enjoyed the dinner; everything was delicious. The carbonara and pasta with artichokes (Strozza con carciofi) were excellent. The portions are very large. I would recommend one serving for two. The suppli are excellent. However, be careful when ordering meat: the Abbacchio Scottadito is very tasty, but it's thin spare ribs with almost all bones (the photo shows a portion we haven't eaten yet). The price of wine was also a surprise: two glasses cost 16 euros, which is disproportionately expensive compared to the rest of the menu. There was no wine list. Otherwise, it's a good place. I recommend it.
