Ristorante Principessa In Venezia

I went to repeat the experience of 9 years ago when we went to this restaurant where we ate very well and received very good service. This time we broke down with the lack of professionalism of the waiter who served us. Thick and still trying to be funny. Bad experience. The stars are only for the food and the wonderful view.

Il ristorante ha i tavoli con vista laguna di Venezia ed è vicino a Piazza San Marco. Siamo stati diverse volte a pranzo e ci siamo trovati bene. I piatti sono curati e le porzioni abbondanti. Il servizio è ottimo ed prezzi in linea con quelli della piazza di Venezia. La pulizia è buona. Abbiamo preso l’antipasto misto veneziano, gli gnocchi del doge, il Saor della casa. Tutti i piatti erano buoni. Buona anche la scelta dei vini. Uno sconto del 10% è riservato a chi alloggia nell’albergo.

Pranzo "veloce" prima di un rapido tour. Non si tratta di un locale economico, ma i prezzi sono esposti e ben visibili all'ingresso. A mezzogiorno ci sono stati proposti solo gli antipasti e dei primi, immagino anche perché tardi ed i secondi avrebbero richiesto troppo tempo. Comunque il personale è stato molto cordiale e gentile, e l'ubicazione del locale, a due passi da piazza S.Marco con vista sulla laguna, è davvero ottimale. Abbiamo preso bragosso della principessa e "la nostra carbonara", preparati con tempistiche più che accettabili e in porzioni abbondanti per questo tipo di locali (non semplici assaggi..). Le portate sono state apprezzate, certo non indimenticabili, ma più che soddisfacenti. Poi un semplice dolce in chiusura.

Strategic area one step away from San Marco and well served by public transport. Elegant and welcoming environment, food as excellent as the service. Highly recommended!

Take a stroll on the boardwalk leading away from San Marco Basilica but right on the water's edge, tucked away and shaded from the sun you will find Ristorante Principessa! Complementary chips, olives and breadsticks were brought to the table as soon as we were seated and a team of two quickly greeted us with smiles, enthusiasm, and a menu. To open the meal, order a caesar salad, but you really only need one for a table of 4 because they are large. Although the chicken was tender and nicely flavored, it’s not needed so you can order the salad without, especially if you are having other meats. Please don’t ask for extra dressing, it comes dressed perfectly and you will simply drown the flavors of the greens, fresh parmesan cheese and make the crisp croutons soggy. Both vegetarian and meat pizza options are available, and folks, this pizza is something special. First of all, it seems to be cooked in seconds, because I didn't get a full plate of salad finished before a smoking hot pie was on the table. The crust, ohhh that crust, a slight chew, yet thin and crisp, cheese perfectly melted and the oil from the sausage (peperoni) slowly pools, one bite and I no longer want to eat pizza unless I am in Italy! Do yourself a favor, order a few different kinds and share, but the lunch pizza size is perfect for two and you can’t beat the price. I am not big on ordering coffee or hot chocolate after a lunch, but many do! Don’t be afraid to grab that Caffe Americano or a Cioccolata calda while digesting your meal, who's to say when you will experience a moment like this again, make the most of it and enjoy anything on the menu you desire! I can’t say enough about the service, it was wonderful, and though tipping is not expected, the smile of the added gratuity and words of appreciation are priceless! So if you are ever in Venice and you are looking for a nice spot to have lunch outside, drop by the Ristorante Principessa Savioa! Unnerved Traveler Caio!

Great food. Large portions that are good for sharing. Good place to people watch. Friendly staff. They offer outdoor seating with misting fans to help with the summer heat. They also have indoor seating.
