Very pleasant staff, fairly quick service. The food was acceptable, and the setting was much quieter than the central square.

We ate there on recommendation - we hadn't booked, but luckily they found us a table for 4 despite the restaurant being busy. Lovely menu with a mix of traditional and high-end dining dishes. Friendly easy service at our pace - we didn't feel rushed at all, which was nice. Food was great (had 3 courses) and enjoyed the wine.

Bye, dear Mama Mia team, You are simply amazing. The food here is always very good, delicious, and of excellent quality. Whether it's pasta, antipasti, pizza, salads, or meat. We've had a great time every time. The desserts are also great. The team is more than friendly and accommodating and tries to make everything possible. We ate there five times during our vacation and miss it very much. Many warm greetings again to the entire team. We'll see you again when we're back in Stresa! Michele and Lea

I'm taking off one star for the price of the service, which is super high for less. €2.50 per person. That quickly adds up for a family. Aside from that, the lasagna was very good.

Estaba lloviendo, y estábamos deambulando por Stresa buscando un restaurante a la hora del almuerzo La mayoría estaban completamente vacíos, doblamos una esquina y encontramos este, que estaba lleno de lugareños solamente, acaba de conseguir una mesa. Pedí dos pizzas que eran buenas y media jarra de la casa roja No podía creer lo lleno que estaba, pero la calidad y el precio de la comida lo decía todo

Esperienza nella media perché a nostro gusto non tutti i piatti sono stati di nostro gradimento. Servizio, pulizia, e prezzo buono. Anche la posizione è molto bella ad un passo da tutto.

09/07/2025: Had breakfast at La Volpe during our stay in Tanaunella and really enjoyed it! The place has a calm, welcoming vibe — perfect for a relaxing start to the day. The coffee was excellent, and the pastries were fresh and delicious. It’s a lovely stop if you’re in the area, whether you’re heading to the beach or just exploring. Would happily come back next time!
25/06/2025: We were here to eat a couple of days ago and, although the restaurant is well-kept and very well-maintained, we were a little disappointed by the prices, especially for the cover charge (3.50€ per person, for a plastic placemat, a glass, knife and fork). We took 4 pizzas, good yes but nothing exceptional.
