On my way back from visiting Castagno dei Cento Cavalli, I stopped for lunch at this trattoria with my family and dog. The staff was immediately welcoming, even to our pup, and even though I hadn't mentioned I was vegetarian, they adapted the daily menu to make it plant-based. I absolutely recommend it!

Easter Sunday was a joyous one!!! The king of the saxophone enlivened the guests' lunch, the staff were attentive, and the food was authentic. The restaurant was packed, and the dishes arrived hot and without any wait. Everything was well organized. We'll definitely be back, especially to try the porcini mushroom semifreddo I've heard so much about. Thank you for everything, and best wishes again ♥️

We ate at this restaurant with a coupon, located next to the Castagno dei Cento Cavalli. What can I say? The attentive service and delicious food, especially the antipasto with caponata, parmigiana, and olives, were truly excellent, along with the truly delicious bread. In short, home-cooked food that tastes like grandma's. A special thanks to dear Paolo, who, in addition to being attentive to his customers, is also a witty and prompt serviceman.

Mm!! Street Food

26/10/2025: My colleagues and I stopped at this restaurant several times during our stay in Catania. What can I say? The food is wonderfully delicious, all accompanied by the kindness of the staff. I highly recommend trying their tuna steak—never tasted so good in my entire life! Also, the fried calamari, the sardines a beccafico, and last but not least, the caponata, both the original version and the one with octopus are delicious. You can taste the love they put into preparing each dish using local, fresh ingredients in every bite. I will definitely be back during my next stay in Catania ♥️
22/10/2025: We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, with some of the highlights being the sardines, mussels and fish skewer. To complete the meal, we had the best tiramisu we‘ve ever eaten, which had a perfect consistency and flavour balance. Would highly recommend

05/03/2026: I'm from Rome, and when I pass through Catania, it's a regular stop. You can eat there or take out. Everything is excellent, from the starters to the vegetables. Carmine is a truly wonderful person and makes amazing desserts. Try it and believe it. Thanks for everything, and see you next time 😉
