Ristorante Pizzera da Pinzo In Lucca

Such a gem of a place! We've been twice this week, the most outstanding dish is the boar with olives - just incredible! Pizzas are great, desserts too especially as they're home-made. The lady owner speaks excellent English and she's a real diamond! Highly recommend this place.

Pinzo has been known for years for its truly excellent cuisine!!! Bar, trattoria, pizzeria, and rotisserie. Passed down through generations, by a large, welcoming family. Every dish has an unmistakable taste of quality. The best!!!! I took a friend on vacation, where she enjoyed traditional Lucca dishes with great satisfaction. From Zuppa alla Frantoiana, Tordelli al Ragù, to Stew with local olives, to Wild Boar Stew. And their fried pasta instead of bread!!!! Unparalleled. What more could I add?...Highly recommended!!!!!!!!

We dropped in late in the evening, desperate for food without even making a reservation. Despite the restaurant being packed, we were greeted with extreme warmth, friendliness, and kindness. The dishes, entirely recommended by Valentina, Pinzo's granddaughter, were all superb and authentic. Excellent home cooking, tasty and rich in tradition. A must-try!

Homemade food, simple restaurant but fabulous food

I'm from Turin, but I know these areas because I grew up with relatives here. I used to go to Pinzo over 40 years ago with my uncles. On Tuesday, July 22nd, there were 6 of us, and I booked a table. We ate very well that evening. I had the farfalle with salmon, I must say they were truly delicious, but the others who were with me also told me that the pizzas and tordelli were top-notch. Not to mention the excellent desserts. I recommend the apple pie!!! I don't understand how anyone can give this pizzeria negative reviews!!! Well... I've never had a bad experience, and I travel there from Turin. Even the price is reasonable, I'd say I give it 5 stars, even though I think they deserve at least 10 for their professionalism and friendliness. See you soon!!

A typical family restaurant, far from the tourist hustle and bustle. Excellent food, an optimal selection of dishes, and a functional yet cozy atmosphere. The focus is on high quality at reasonable prices.
