Ristorante Perbacco In Bari

Restaurants which are or have been included in the Osterie list always meet our expectations. Lovely atmosphere, with the host displaying professionalism and competence. Lovely food, great wine. Definitely worth a try.

We had a wonderful meal. Fresh, local produce, cooked to perfection and with elegance. Extensive wine list. Appetizer, first course, second course, dessert, wine. Total for two was about €120, but it was worth it. Experience +++ I'll be back!

To recount my brief lunch experience at Perbacco, I must first say that it's one of those few places I've truly wanted to go to. Especially before this historic Bari restaurant closed. The occasion was a quick and frugal lunch on a rainy weekday, with the hope of returning for a leisurely dinner with many friends. First of all, I must say that Beppe Schino is a host from another era; his hospitality and food culture are the kind you'll find no more, especially considering most restaurants are now geared towards tourism. Having said that, the menu is typical of a Slow Food restaurant, of which Perbacco has had a Slow Food snail for 15 years now. The menu features seasonal ingredients, featuring several local products paired with excellent dishes that showcase our region. There's a wide selection of wines, and the location is right in the center of Bari. A culinary hotspot in our regional capital. Definitely worth trying at least once before it closes, which is expected to happen in June 2026.

A meal at PerBacco is a must if you're visiting Bari. Very welcoming. You feel right at home from the moment you ring the doorbell. Impeccable and very kind service. Perfect portions and 11/10 food.

Truly one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in recent months. The portions are perfect and extremely well-prepared. The whole slow food concept truly shines here. Paired with the right wine, I could eat here for another 10 days. The duck breast and braised veal cheek were truly perfect. My compliments to the owner and chef of this restaurant. 10/10 recommended!

The decor and atmosphere immediately make it clear, as soon as you enter, that this is a place with great character: the same character that my wife and I found in the flavorful and enveloping dishes. The wine selection is also top-notch, which I greatly appreciated: for those seeking a restaurant with a strong personality, "PerBacco" is the ideal place.

Beppe Schino is a refuge from the festive chaos of downtown Bari. Never a dish or detail is out of place.

The evening offered us several culinary delights! Not only were all the dishes fantastic, but there were also individual ingredients that we will remember fondly, such as sheep's milk ricotta, homemade chestnut purée, black kale, and artichokes… all skillfully prepared and perfectly balanced with the other ingredients. And to top it all off, a lovely white wine made from the local Verdeca grape. We'll be back! :)

Always in search for a good meal in every location I visit. PerBacco did not disappoint one bit. Located a bit off the main strip, this place still maintains a warm and cozy charm about it. The surprising highlight was the complimentary stater of olives fried in tomatoes. For appetisers, the grilled octopus is mandatory. Perfectly cooked, not chewy and the tips of the tentacles were lightly charred and crunchy. For mains, rely on the owner to recommend a seasonal dish as the menu is on rotation. For dessert, I had a seasonal dish of chestnut mousse and whipped ricotta with dark chocolate.

An intimate restaurant with great attention to detail and a pleasant atmosphere. Delicious, delicate dishes, impeccable, and incredibly welcoming service. Excellent value.
