Great location with a view of Lake Garda. Very friendly staff, speaking German, and a free limoncello, grappa, or coffee. Plenty of bread to start with, inexpensive coperto, and excellent food!

The seating is lovely on a terrace-like setting with a view of the lake. The service is very attentive and prompt. The food was delicious and definitely worth the visit. We would definitely come back if we're ever in Malcesine again.

While vacationing in Malcesine, we stumbled upon this restaurant, which I'd call perfect. From the location, to the service, and especially the menu. I don't think I've ever eaten so well. Highly recommended!

Un vrai coup de cœur ! Ce restaurant niché sous les pierres du château offre une atmosphère calme et enchanteresse, surtout sur la terrasse. On s’y sent immédiatement bien, comme hors du temps. Nous avons partagé plusieurs plats de pâtes, tous savoureux, un tartare de thon absolument divin, ainsi que d’autres plats que nous avons tous adorés. Chaque bouchée était un plaisir. Le personnel est attentif, souriant, à l’écoute — ce qui ajoute encore à l’expérience. Et honnêtement, les photos ne rendent pas justice à la beauté et à l’ambiance du lieu. Si vous aimez les endroits sobres, élégants, et installés dans un cadre exceptionnel, je vous le recommande vivement.

Ristorante Vecchia Malcesine

06/08/2025: I can recommend this restaurant to anyone willing to pay the price for sophisticated craftsmanship. We had the full 10 courses with wine pairing, some very pleasant surprises, and outstanding service. We even had a quick chat with the funny and very creative chef. You can tell he understands his craft and knows how to use it. It's truly impressive.
27/07/2025: We had the pleasure of experiencing Leandro and his team yesterday – fantastic! We were excited about the many positive reviews – and our expectations were exceeded. A kitchen that offers traditional dishes with so much creativity, surprise, and excellent taste is unparalleled – all without any "molecular frills." Added to that is an atmosphere that blends "Welcome to us" with "Let us pamper you" – wonderful. The ambiance is modern and classic with plenty of taste and, of course, a stunning view. For us, it was a magical evening that we will remember for a long time – see you next time – thank you and a thousand graces.
