I'm not easily impressed, but I haven't eaten as good as this one in a long time. There is a fine selection of extremely tasty local dishes, a rustic atmosphere, really nice staff and all at really fair prices. If you find yourself near San Miniato, you should stop here. We ate divinely, everything was very good, plentiful and typically Tuscan...excellent cured meats, truly homemade first courses and sliced meat which was tasty and tender like butter. The owner was very nice and welcoming. The price is absolutely reasonable, I absolutely recommend it!

Excellent croutons and first courses (tagliolini with white truffle and tagliatelle with mushrooms. The trifle is special. Conviviality from the manager. The rooms are a little cramped.

Very good white truffle tagliolini. They wanted to put too many tables in a narrow space and it's basically one large table. You may like it or not. The rating on the menu is more than sufficient, but the organization of the orders needs to be reviewed. You can't wait 50 minutes for a plate of cold cuts. The next table (but right next door) arrived two minutes before us and were waiting for dessert and we were still waiting for the starter. We intentionally didn't push anyone because I wanted to see how far they would go. The waitress and the owner passed by us forty times but never noticed that while everyone was eating we only had water and wine on the table, and I repeat the room is very small. When, at the end of lunch, we pointed out the fact to the owner, luckily he didn't make any strange comments but, having realized this, he tried to "make up for it" by offering dessert.

Eravamo andati li per i tagliolini al tartufo, da menù sarebbero dovuti essere tagliolini al burro e tartufo.
Il risultato è stato molto diverso: tagliolini panna e tartufo.
Ovviamente data la delicatezza del sapore del tartufo e la corposità della panna, il risultato è stato un ottimo piatto di tagliolini alla panna.
Lascio tre stelle e non due inquanto i secondi di carne, ovvero tagliata al tatufo e scaloppina ai porcini sono stati buoni.

Ho cenato in questo ristorante tornando dal mare. Avevo voglia di tartufo e così ho ordinato un tagliolino al tartufo nero e delle scaloppine al tartufo nero. I tagliolini non sarebbero stati male ma ho avuto come l'impressione che non fosse il tartufo a profumare bensì l'olio o burro che avevano messo a condimento della pasta. Anche le scaloppine le avevano condite con abbondante crema profumata, mentre le scaglie di tartufo non sapevano un granché. Forse dipende dal tipo di tartufo, non sono un intenditore, ma altre volte l'ho mangiato più buono.

Excellent food presented professionally. We tried both lunch and dinner and both were excellent. The outdoor seating was cozy with a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend the pecorino cheese plate with various jams and honey. Also recommend to try the local truffle based seasonal pasta dishes. Decent selection of Tuscan wines.
