Ristorante Orselli, Italia In Melle

We went for lunch on Sunday. After a somewhat shaky start (no reservations, initially extremely slow service, and apparently stale focaccia), lunch took a completely different turn. The owner admitted she'd neglected us a bit due to logistical issues, but they made up for it by showering us with attention and kindness. Nothing to complain about the food: the prices aren't cheap and the portions aren't generous, but the quality is top-notch: everything was delicious... so much so that we didn't leave a single dish without "scarpetta" (cleaning up the bread). Definitely a place I recommend to anyone who enjoys great food.

This is my second time dining here at the Orsellis. I was thrilled the first time, but the second time they exceeded my expectations. Superlative food. I was served by a very young but extremely well-prepared woman who was truly excellent! I had the pleasure of enjoying dinner in front of the open window overlooking the kitchen, so I could fully appreciate the care and precision with which they prepared not only my dishes, but those of all the customers (it was a Saturday night, and the restaurant was packed). A wonderful experience confirmed, congratulations to all the staff!

Had dinner last night for two, for an anniversary. We tried the Varaita Valley classics, revisited, and it was a (very) pleasant surprise! The tumin dal Mel were excellent, the siule were delicious, and so were the ravioli, which we shared to make room for the rib eye steak. 🥩 It arrived at the table already sliced ​​on the hot stone so it would stay warm, and I even took advantage of the opportunity to cook it to my personal preference. The lady who served us had a wonderful smile, and that's a significant detail. The owner, who I believe was the owner, was extremely kind, and we exchanged a few words with him. The kitchen staff, whom we greeted and complimented, were also smiling. Well done everyone! I can only recommend it! (Unfortunately, there are no photos because my phone was left in my bag, as it should be 😋)

Portions are slightly small but the dishes are prepared with top-quality ingredients.

Found it by chance and we were completely satisfied. Excellent location/friendly staff/exceptional dishes. Highly recommended.
