Ristorante 'O Canonico 1898 In Sorrento

Our visit here was simply magnificent, exquisite. Everything from the food and drink, to the service from Michele was perfect. I’ve been here in Sorrento for over a week and this has been the best meal we’ve had by far, if I could stay longer I would just for this restaurant alone. Thank you for an amazing experience, thank you again to Michele, and thank you to the chef or chefs for a perfect evening. I hope and pray I’ll be back 🙏🏼

The fried zucchini was outstanding! It’s a casual spot with high-end quality dishes. I recommend the prawns too, they were very fresh and flavorful. The service was also top-notch and very friendly / attentive. There’s a reason this place has been around since 1898! Truly amazing spot!

Stopped in for dinner while on vacation in Sorrento. Let me tell you, the food, the service and atmosphere was superb. If you are ever in Sorrento you must stop in.

We had a truly wonderful and intimate dinner and wine tasting with Marco at this lovely town place restaurant in Down town Sorrento. Angelo, next door at the pizzeria, was a lovely waiter.

My partner and myself enjoyed a lovely meal here when we visited Sorrento a couple weeks back. I had a freshly made pizza which was delicious and my partner enjoyed a really tasty pasta dish. All in all we had a very pleasant experience and I would definitely come back here again if we were ever lucky enough to be visiting that part of Italy again. Thank you

Standing ovation per il nuovo menù ideato dallo chef e dai patron fratelli Terminiello. Una serata splendida, grazie alla compagnia ma anche grazie all'ospitalità e professionalità del personale e dei padroni di casa. La location è in pieno centro a Sorrento in un angolo discreto della Piazza Tasso da cui osservare il passeggio ma da una posizione riservata. Abbiamo cenato immersi tra le bottiglie di vini pregiati provenienti dalla ricchissima cantina, ben oltre le 5000 etichette. Addirittura al piano superiore è presente un'enoteca da 1000 e una notte. I piatti sono stati tutti meritevoli si tornare a riassaggiarli. Un plauso particolare al carciofo cotto a bassa temperatura e i cappelletti alla genovese. Si spazia tra piatti di mare e di carne senza tralasciare piatti di verdure. Consigliatissimo. Un angolino per i dolci merita di essere lasciato

È certamente uno dei luoghi del cuore a Sorrento. È nel cuore di Sorrento ma in un angolino riservato che ti permette di essere al centro della movida ma con la giusta privacy. L'asso vincente è di sicuro la famiglia che lo gestisce da oltre 50 anni. L'accoglienza e l'attenzione sono uniche, mi fanno sentire sempre al centro dell'attenzione, anche quando il locale è al completo. Marco il sommelier patron attingendo dalla loro cantina di migliaia di etichette ha reso la cena un trionfo. Ci ha aiutati nella scelta di uno champagne per iniziare il menù degustazione e ci ha fatto proseguire con altri 2 vini spettacolari. La presentazione dei piatti è sempre studiata ad arte, in particolare quella dei dessert che sembrano realizzati da un pittore. Si sicuro verrò di nuovo a trovarvi. A presto un saluto anche ad Antonino ottimo padrone di casa. P.S. dopo la cena abbiamo visitato la loro boutique di vini e bollicine e siamo tornati a casa con degli champagne da sogno.

Very nice restaurant in the central square of Sorrento. I went for a company dinner, so with a pre-established menu; dinner essentially based on fish! The starters were all delicious, an assortment of 6 courses based on raw fish: an explosion of flavours, delicious dishes and very fresh fish!!! I vote ten!!!!! First and second special and good! He's a good dessert too! What can I say…. I would happily go back!! The service was impeccable, good explanation of the dishes and a lot of friendliness and attention to the customer!! Optimal!!!!
