A seafood lover’s dream with a creative edge. If you’re visiting Civitanova Marche, Officina is an absolute must. The setting sets the tone right away — a warm, elegant dining room with beautiful table settings, soft lighting, and an impressive wine display in the back. It feels special from the moment you sit down. We started with the Royal Plateau of raw seafood, a generous spread that changes daily based on what’s freshest — ours included oysters, langoustines, prawns, razor clams, seared tuna, and seafood tartare, all beautifully arranged with edible flowers and greens. Every piece was clearly top-quality: the langoustine and prawns were sweet and clean, the oysters perfectly briny, and the seared tuna added wonderful depth. From there, the kitchen showed its more creative side. The creamed cod bowl was a standout — delicate cod with crispy squid-ink breading, a roasted red pepper sauce, and a dusting of crusco pepper powder for a subtle smoky kick. Just as memorable was the sea bass ceviche with celery, bell pepper, mango, and passion fruit — bright, fresh, and beautifully balanced between savory and tropical sweetness. Officina manages to do both things brilliantly: honoring classic Adriatic seafood while still surprising you with bold, well-executed creativity. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. Our only disappointment was the wine our waiter recommended — it simply didn’t live up to the quality of the food. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable meal on the Marche coast.
