I ate here before visiting the ruins and it was a perfect experience. Jean Piero's service was exceptional: friendly, attentive, and very charismatic.
The pasta was wonderful, perfectly al dente, and with that homemade flavor you only find in Italy. And the tiramisu… simply incredible, one of the best I've ever had, light and with the perfect balance of coffee and mascarpone.
The atmosphere is peaceful, with a pleasant terrace, and it's right across from the entrance to the archaeological site. Ideal for enjoying a good meal before or after your visit.

I visited this restaurant and was really satisfied! The menu was quite extensive, and the dishes were truly delicious. I chose pasta with seafood and it turned out to be a great choice — everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I also used the service shown in the photo to calculate the calories, and it was super quick and convenient! Now it’s much easier to track my nutrition, and I highly recommend trying it — it really helps to stay balanced without any hassle.

Nice restaurant, upscale prices. The food was good, but not amazing.
The service was friendly and attentive. A few autographed pictures hang on the walls (Loren, Mastroianni, Sordi, de Sica). Unfortunately, there's also one of Benito Mussolini!
The owner was even proud of the fascist leader.

The beauty of being able to eat near the village of Ostia Antica is already an added bonus...and if the restaurant is worthy in EVERY way, there's nothing more you can ask for. The chef is an artist, the owner is professional and friendly, and the waiter who served us was perfect! The prices are more than fair for the excellent quality of the food! We'll be back soon!

Francisco, Marco and the older brother John Andrea, were an awesome staff, friendly inviting and entertaining, gave great description of the menu, and easily communicated with us in English while we tried with broken Italian. The bread and olive oil was devine, the drinks were cold and the food was delicious. I had the fettuccine de bolengese and my wife had the clams, sampling of deserts for our table. When in Ostia Antigua you must visit this family owned and operated establishment

The best meal we had this trip in Italy!!! The waiters were friendly and the food was AMAZING! It’s just a lovely place to be. We started with the fried anchovy, main seafood pasta and mixed grilled seafood. Dessert tiramisu and nut cake. Nut cake too sweet for me but the rest were delicious.

First of all, this is just my personal opinion and experience!
I can say that the quality is excellent and the food is fresh. If I'm craving Italian food, Monumento is my number one choice! Kudos to the owner, but especially to the chef and his team!
