We had lunch at a wonderful place, in a stunning location.
We ate octopus with vegetables, a dish that was too elaborate for my taste.
The prices were high, more for the location than the food.

Beautiful sea view.
Very fine, fresh food. Rather upscale. Imaginatively prepared.
Professional service. The price is completely fair and well-deserved.
Approximately €100-140.
Highly recommended.
A plus: the coastal cruise from S.M. de Leuca towards Otranto is magical.

The location is truly beautiful and well-maintained, certainly one of the restaurant's strong points. Unfortunately, however, the rest of the service doesn't live up to the prices, which seem excessive and unjustified. The menu is rather limited, and while the service is courteous, the prices don't reflect the overall quality of the food.
Another aspect that needs addressing is the presence of bathers in their swimsuits right next to the restaurant, which clashes with the atmosphere the restaurant is intended to convey.
On a positive note: the waiters are truly very kind and helpful.

Lo Scalo is Extreme in any possible way: extremely high quality seafood and kitchen, extremely high quality of service - BIAGIO - was our North Star, extremely high quality time being able to swim before and after lunch, clearly, high prices are to be expected for this top level experience overall.
In the evening the restaurant transform into an elegant setting, with a luxurious view and nice environment - although my suggestion is to gather friends and enjoy half day there including lunch.
