I recently had the pleasure of eating at the Baita Le Solitaire restaurant, located near Champoluc, and I must say that the experience was truly pleasant. We started with an appetizer of cured meats, all fresh and tasty. We then chose a menu that included polenta concia, really delicious, served with stew and sausage. Both dishes were very tasty and well prepared. The house wine accompanied the meal perfectly, and the desserts were the icing on the cake: I highly recommend the pear and chocolate cake and the apple cake, both excellent. The service was fast, with friendly and attentive staff. The farmhouse also offers a splendid view, making the experience even more pleasant. I highly recommend booking if you visit on a weekend, as the area is very busy and finding parking can require a bit of patience, especially on public holidays. Overall, a place that I recommend for an excellent culinary experience in an evocative setting.

Consigliato 40 anni fa da amici, è una tappa quasi fissa durante le vacanze in zona. Situato in magnifica posizione sotto lo Zerbion, è facilemente raggiungibile in auto (anche troppo, visti certi affollamenti estivi nei parcheggi della zona). Nel ristorante cìè il menu fisso, aggiornato di recente con opzione vegetariana. Dopo un bel tagliere di salumi con lardo arriva una polenta concia favolosa, accompagnata da spezzatino e salsiccia, tutto in porzioni generose. Ottimi dolci, per chi non è ancora sazio. Servizio veloce e cortese. Un posto da non perdere per chi è in Val d'Ayas.
