Excellent restaurant, local food, there is parking

Family-run restaurant. We ordered four first courses (all fantastic), then shared a mixed grill (the meat was also excellent), coffee, water, and wine for €25 per person. The staff were friendly and courteous. We'll definitely be back.

We went there on a Sunday for lunch, six of us. From the outside, it looks like an old inn, but inside, there are three spacious rooms! We each had a generous first course, and a grilled meat for two, which we barely finished! Everything was delicious, the waiter was friendly, and the bill was also fair: €30 per person, including two waters, a 1L Coke, coffee, and a bitter liqueur!

This restaurant, located on the Strada Marsicana, serves typical local dishes. The overall experience was average, worthy of a 3-star rating. The menu offers local specialties, but the selection is rather limited. As soon as we entered, we were assigned a table, and before we could even sit down, the waitress was already ready to ask us what we wanted to drink. A few minutes later, she returned, further rushing us through our selections: an attitude we found a bit pushy and unpleasant. Regarding the food, the bread wasn't good quality, probably from the day before. The arrosticini were too fatty and flavorless, lacking the typical flavor of the sheep. The first courses, however, were generally acceptable: I enjoyed the pasta alla Marsicana, although the truffle was barely noticeable, almost nonexistent. The prices are average, but the €3 per person cover charge seems a bit excessive for the experience offered. Overall, a decent place, but with several areas for improvement.

Excellent food, fresh ingredients and friendly staff, especially Christian with his magic tricks, he made us have a lot of fun!

We ate wonderfully!! Two first courses: tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and truffles, ravioli with cheese fondue and truffles, and a mixed grill, all spectacular! The staff were welcoming and very friendly, and very attentive to their customers! Highly recommended.

We were number 5 on a Sunday. It was a bit crowded, and we had to wait despite having a reservation. We had a very good central charcuterie board. The first courses were excellent. The desserts were also very good. We thank Mrs. Veronica, who, despite the large number of tables, never lost her courtesy and kindness. I highly recommend the Vecchia Locanda and will return as soon as possible.
