A little disappointed, the menu doesn't live up to its promise. Spaghetti chitarra with sandy clams and not much spaghetti.
Fried fish with hardly any fish, but shrimp, which weren't what we wanted.
Pizza was okay, nothing special. Calamarata was okay. The house wine was white, good and inexpensive.

Found by chance because the nearby Lago Maggiore hotel closes the restaurant on Mondays, excellent dinner with pizza and apple pie, very kind guys serving.

I consider La Riva an excellent restaurant in many respects: the quality of the food, the opportunity to eat excellent pizza, the attentive service, and the relaxed, aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. It's a very popular place, but I've always managed to find a couple of seats on Saturdays, even by reserving the same day. Not all places are like this, and that's another plus.

We were absolutely thrilled every time! We spent about two weeks in Italy, and almost a week eating here exclusively. The food was delicious, the prices were fair. The service was very attentive, and the people were friendly. We never had to wait. Highly recommended!

We had dinner two nights in a row at this lake-view restaurant.
The location is enchanting, and the food is excellent, including the pizzas.
The service was quick, and the waiters were very kind.
